- Lineolated Parakeets Talking | These are my lineolated Parakeets (Linnies) Merlin is the cobalt, Wizard is the Turquoise, Nugget is the Cream.
Listen to Nugget the cream Linnie, he loves to talk. He says "Hi" "give me a kiss" and he growls when we say me monster.
Nugget also says "Me Monster" and then "growls".
He is so cute, listen carefully.

Oh man I want to teach my linnie to say Me Monster, GRR! that's sooo adorable!
I love the “hi!” so sweet 🥰
I've never seen a little yellow bird talk ha! so funny & cute!
I had one of these birds as a kid. She didn't talk but she sang a lot and loved the Addams Family theme
They are the cutest little things
Great video 👍 Shows off Linnies love of company. So cute you forget their liquid poos - well almost! 💩
Me monster...
rrr
My little budgie loves this video; her talking is a little garbled but not bad-- mostly "hi sweetheart". Both of us are enchanted by all of them but especially "me, monster, arrrrr". Good job.
Thanks for watching, it is so cute when birds talk.
wow that's one birdparty in the background xD
Oh my...you are so good to your birdies. They got their own room & so much toys & play stations =)

Awww
I have two green lineolated parrots
So cute♡ I love them. How did you taught them talking?
@EvangeliumDiSilenti I think it's the cream coloured Linnie. If you look at its neck when you hear and aaahhh, it moves every time.
first person to watch this vid :)
My bf grandma has some
Please send Nugget to Richard K in California!
Nugget said it's too far to fly there, lol. He said he will miss me and wants to stay.
@@Loveofpets Ahhh geezzzz! :) I've been thinking about getting a linnie. Very partial to the cobalt blue, which I think is a new mutation. At any rate, tell Nugget that my feelings are hurt but he can still come to visit. :)
Thanks for the advice, and where did you get them? I saw them online and they're around $150-$250.
Hi. I have two males. They are very bonded, so I have to take them out together. Are your bonded with each other? Both of mine can talk. One taught the other everything he knows.
@lostintravise Yeh. I watched the video again after I posted that to find it was the yellow linnie. Lol. It's cute :)
can they be tamed easily? im thinking of getting one :)
No, they're fiends
18th person to watch this vid....you should get more birds...hAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA YUK YUK
A question about this birds. In your experience, males and females can talk or only males like cockatiels ?
Nope, both genders can talk
how likely is it that a lineolated parakeet will learn how to talk?
It's a 50/50 chance. It's best to start with a baby Linnie and repeat phrases over and over to him and he may repeat the words.
Are they cuddly
They can be cuddly. Here is more information about them czcams.com/video/nJPFbGnudVE/video.html
What is that bird in the background that keeps going "aaaahh"? Is that one of the linnies? Or a different bird? Lol.
I have just saved two linnies ones very tame the other is very aggressive would you have any advice for me? Would appreciate it thanks
Hi. He could be stressed and scared. Talk to him and offer food from your hands and don't force him to step up. Let him come out on his own. He may calm down or may not. I had a very aggressive Linnie years ago and he never changed. I just let him be himself but sometimes I could not let him out of the cage as he would chase me and attack me. He never changed. He was difficult to live with. Hopefully yours changes as linnies do go through hormonal stages. How old is he?
Love of Pets I’m not to sure how old they are the green one I have is very placid a little nippy but nothing to worry about he takes food from my hand I’m not sure how to tell there ages I think they are both males I’ve just never had an aggressive one before hence why I was asking for advice I will just try and let him relax for a bit and try again in a few weeks they are caged together I think the green one tries to reassure the blue that I’m ok bless him lol thanks for the advice
Do you think I should separate them maybe ?
Honest question: How do you afford vet care for so many birds? In the future, I really want to adopt more birds but there really isn't an affordable vet for birds around here like there is for dogs/cats.
Hi! Vet care can be expensive, especially avian vets. I make a budget for my pets and also use a credit card for emergencies.
A credit card is the best way to pay for vet care if you are short on money. I put aside a certain amount in a separate account for my pets only. The money I make from CZcams is for my pets.
What kind is the middle one? (blue)
Hi dear long time i just felt like searching lineolated on CZcams.. you know something whichever bird name i type in youtube your video only drops on first am pretty much used to that search history..i want to know something so there is only 4 color in lineolated right ?
Hi. There are more then 4 colors.
The most common are Green, Blue, Lutino, Creamino
Then then are the Green series - Olive, dark green, light green, edged etc.
The blue series -
Various shades of Blue - Turquoise, cobalt, Slate, green, dark blue, light blue, edged etc.
There are more variations like double factor edged etc.
How hard is it to tran a bird to say hi
Lineages parakeet breeders
Hi Love of Pets, are white and gray linnies a color mutation? I was told blue (turquoise) is. I know their natural color is green.
I have never seen a white linnie before. I had a slate linnie a while ago that is grey but they are called slate. I love the turquoise.
You're right. Yours is so white, I forgot it's a creamie. So creamie and blue/turquoise aren't natural colors, they're mutations.
So how are the female linnies if I do get one? Have you had any problems if the female can't lay her egg? Any solutions?
Yes they are mutations. Nugget is a cream and he is so light in color.
I have the one female, she lays eggs. I let her sit on them until she tires of sitting on them. She had one fertile clutch many years ago. She has never been egg bound yet.
@EvangeliumDiSilenti Sounds like an Indian Ringneck, though I am not sure if they have one. :)
hi what cages are those in the back?? thanks!
Samantha Hi, the cages in the back are called HQ Flight Cages. These are the best cages I have owned so far.
+Loveofpets I've never seen these types of birds are they breed with budgies ? they look almost like them very nice!
+Loveofpets my Linnie is watching this with me, he walked up to the iPad and tried to touch your birds 😀
+flo green Lol. That must of been cute.
+Loveofpets It was 😊 love the birds BTW and really great video.
Do females talk as often as males? Is it just as likely that a female will talk as a male is what I mean.
Hi, I'm looking for resources to buy a lineolated parakeet. I'm in California can you point me in the right direction?
I don't know any breeders or rescues in your area. Google rescues, breeders in your area or look on your local classifieds. Join lineolated parakeet Facebook groups and ask if anyone knows where to find linnies in your area.
You can also ask your local bird stores or pet stores. Good luck
@@Loveofpets Thank you.
Do have lineoleted for sale ??
No I don't have any for sale.
Sooooo, we are gonna just ignore that mean ass fart that was laid 12 seconds in????
Lol, My husband taught him that, lol
0:12 did just fart on the video? really
I'm looking for a lineolated parakeets where do u live
Sorry I don't have any linnies for sale.
How did you hand-train yours so well? I just got mine a week ago, but he hates hands and prefers to perch on shoulders or on the top of my head. I've tamed other birds (doves, cockatiels) successfully but I don't have any experience with birds as intelligent as these, so I'm afraid that if I try to force hand-sitting on him he's going to end up aggressive and less affectionate. Do you have any tips?
Hi, my linnies were hand raised when I got them, so it was easy to tame them, everyday I asked them to step up, I used a piece of millet or apple and they would climb on my hand, I did this often and now they step up all the time. Try using a tasty treat.
do any females talk?
hello , nice birds , i wanna ask you something , i have 4 pairs of linnes , and iam in big trouble had pair yellow and white and they both lay eggs after 3 months discovered they are both females so i separate them and get another two birds for each hen , now i have doubts about them all who is male and who is female the problem that each pair stay together and help each other cleaning feather i try to put them all together and see if they will make true couples but they fight and each pair get close to each other even the both females , i do not have DNA test here so how could you help me to be sure they are true couples i have pair gray and one blue one white and one yellow and green :( thank you
The way to tell a linnie gender difference is the black feathers on their shoulders and tail. I hope this helps
