The guy in this video is funny. Ukwani, Ika, Aniocha and Oshimili have every right to say that they are not Igbos. But the truth remains that there is no difference between them and Igbos. Inside the Igbo nation, we have Ngwa people, Abakiliki people, Nsukka people, Ibeku people, Wawa people, Ezza people and many others, all speaking varying dialects of Igbo. None of them have lost their dialects because they are Igbos, none of then have stopped being Ngwa, Abakiliki, Nsukka etc because they are Igbos. Anyone of them can get up tomorrow and claim to be a seperate ethnic group, but how can you deny to be seperate from the very people you speak same ancestral language as, and practice same culture? This Ukwani man that is saying that if Anioma is added to the South-East, he will lose his identity. Has he lost his identity in the South south? Not even the Igalas of Anambra, the Idomas of Enugu and the Ibibios of Abia have lost their identity because of being in the South-East. There is NO plan in place for the Igbos in the southeast to impose themselves on the Midwestern Igbos in the southsouth. What is actually happening is that the Igbos in the southeast have realised that it is time for all Igbo speakers, who by history are related by blood to come under one umbrella regardless of their geographical location. This is a bid to give all Igbos unity and a strong voice which will end their marginalisation.
What caused so much division among the Igbos is the civil war in that it created fear in the minds of many and they started to deny their ethnicity.
B4 the civil war broke out my grandmother told me that in the northerner parts of Nigeria all Igbo speakers regardless of their diverse Igbo dialects used to attend same meetings, visit each other and travelled together during christmas as they were all heading in the same direction.

Ukwuani's foremost academic (Prof. BIC Ijomah) has written extensively proclaiming that the Ukwuani are Igbo and not Benin.
I bet you have never heard of Dr. Paul O. Opone (PhD). He is a a native of Kwale and a foremost Ukwuani historian. In fact he is the only academic historian whose primary focus is Ukwuani history. He has written extensively on Kwale being Igbo (not just "Delta Igbo"). If I gave you a link to his publications, would it help towards curing your identity crisis and ethnic schizophrenia?

Igbos needs assess to the sea hence they want to grab Delta and some part of Edo states to Southeast. Southsouth people should be wary àbout the Igbos, they have plan to forcibly takes lands where the immigrants Igbos are to join the mainstream Southeast. Not sure how this would work. For peace to reign, it is better for Southeast to create another state from 5 Igbos states and leave Southsouth states to be on their own.

My candid advise to all ukwuanis and ikas is we strike out this anioma state thing. Expansionists are always very coy in their approach to things always having an end game in site that you are not part of or aware of and always holding their meetings behind close doors and behind you as their Bororo counterparts up north. The Anioma state creation is not in any way for the ukwuani or ika mans favour so best we stay in our God given beautiful Delta State. It is a collateral of a state creation of Igbo expansionist politicians and its for the south east and the deal has been concluded behind you to move it to south east by the group sponsoring it and the oil wells belonging to ukwuanis and ikas along with it. Forget about it being a south south state creation! It is not a south south state creation!. We have to be very wise when dealing with expansionist groups to avoid the situations with groups like the celts and welsh who have been successfully emasculated by their emasculators without any hope for redemption. Our fathers were the Abohs (actually ebohs the white man called abohs) and ukwuanis and were never addressed igbos. The igbo man is yet to resolve his multifaceted igbo identity issue. He doesnt know where his forefathers actually drew the boundaries of his igbo ethnicity and is still largely confused. That is why there is need for the likes of the ikwerres and ukwuanis to help them out of the abundance of our hearts delineate for them their proper geographical boundaries even if it means repeatedly as many of them seem to be slow in learning.
