Its that possible method on rear window with defrost grid?
Best tip I ever got for cleaning glass windows.
Do inside up and down, do outside left to right. That way, if you get streaks you know which side they're on...
Thank you for that tip. It is such a simple tip but I have never thought about it that way.
Yeah, that makes so much sense now that you say it.
Great tip.
Great tip for sure!
You can tell as soon as you use the wipers what side they are :)
Pan, a lot of detailers have CZcams channels. Yours is above and beyond. Your ability to communicate isn’t boring and keeps viewers interested. Just when I thought I knew everything, I learn about the Dawn trick. You are the Obi-Wan Kenobi of auto detailing.
Hehehe thank you for the kind words of support Keith! I have been doing CZcams videos for a little over six years now, and almost 800 videos so far, so it takes a lot of time to film and produce each one. So it's nice to see you guys appreciate my efforts to come up with educational and entertaining content. :)
@@PanTheOrganizer
Pan, it's one thing to shoot and produce a bunch of videos, it's something completely different to do it in both official languages.
Your effort knob goes to 11 bonhomme.
This is exactly the kind of video I enjoy - very specific and addresses a problem every detailer has.
Thanks Art!
Great tip Pan. I use that process to clean the windows in my home, inside and outside. Dawn is amazing and cheaper than glass cleaners.
Thanks!
Having an arthritic shoulder, this method will surely help greatly! Thanks Pan for the super simple tips! 👍
Thanks Robert!
I use to work on an assembly bottling line using creams and oil based products… best way to cut through and clean up spills was with isopropyl alcohol…inexpensive and sterilizes at the same time…use it on my windshield and auto glass all the time…cheap and streak free using good quality auto microfiber towels…use in well ventilated and shady area…give it a try…great results!
Yup, always spray onto a towel, wipe one side, buff dry other. IMJOSHV just uses water even, but I like the isopropyl alcohol as it also cuts through dirt, grease, child hand prints, and doggie drool.
I’ve been using 99% isopropyl alcohol mixed 50/50 with distilled water for 30 years in my automotive glass shop. Best glass cleaner I’ve tried.
I started using rubbing alcohol in my washer reservoir about 10 years ago. Now, I use it throughout the winter because it doesn't freeze up in the hoses or squirter plus, it keeps the windshield clear of road film.
Thanks for the Magic Eraser tip, Pan. Never thought of using them before.👍
@@chrissemsch8781 would 91% isopropyl and distilled water 50/50 work too?
@@wethepeople8280 yes
Fantastic, innovative to a problem we all deal with. I will try it today. Getting closer to that 800K subs! Way to go Pan!

Thanks for the helpful tips, your videos make car detailing fun and interesting. I already started using the Stoner Reach and Clean tool from one of your older videos, it makes glass cleaning for the car and around the house so much easier, thanks for that 🙏

Good technique. Thanks again Pan
Thanks Konstantino!
Yes the greasy residue does my head in! Thanks for sharing will have to try it.
👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for sharing Pan! I am one of those people thats cleaning the windshield constantly! I will have to try this method! If the window isnt ridiculous dirty, so like for upkeep on the inside window, all i do is use one of those fluffy blanket-looking microfiber towels and just wipe it down every couple weeks or as needed. No chems, or anything just the fluffy blanket towel and it works fantastic! I get them from the dollar store, they are white.
👍🏻
Awesome video and what an awesome tip…. Thank you Pan
Glad it was helpful!
Great tips Pan. I am going to give this process a shot. I already have all the products needed which is a plus! I always hate doing the inside windows but it's a necessary burden for those of us who only accept perfection for our pride and joys!

Thanks! Needed this one.

Wow. I was making this way to complicated. Thank you for the "Easy Button" method. I will try it on the next window cleaning job.
👍🏻
Definitely going to give this a try! Just drove from PA to SC then back. After a thorough detailing I thought my windshield was clean. Driving in the sun determined that was not true! Always seem to have a haze
Exactly!
I never seem to be able to do it without some haze being left behind!
I feel this in my soul 🤣🤣🤣... Looks great until darkness falls 🤣🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
And you can have a clean vehicle but with the windows looking like that feel unfinished business 😂
I had the same problem until I figured out the problem: the microfiber towel wasn’t FRESH and clean. Make sure your microfiber is FRESH AND CLEAN! If you use the same microfiber towel, it will have residue from previous cleanings. How’d I figure this out? I use window cleaner manufactured in-house from an auto detail vendor in New Lenox, IL. I complained about the haze and without looking up, the vendor asked, “Is it a fresh microfiber?” I replied, “Well, not quite. It’s used on previous window cleanings.” At which time, the vendor said, again without looking up, “Use a fresh one. Next question?” It’s not you. It’s the towel!
@@keithlutz7000 what if the towel is fresh from the laundry?

I hadnt used ur 1st tool but I JUST got a similiar squeegee on Amazon & it made a WORLD of difference. I've used newspapers/etc u name it. I ALSO wet my micro fiber w/water & rung out loosely. Window cleaner didn dry so fast in the heat. See Pan, u DO rock! 🤓👍
😁
The reach and clean tool works great on my vette windshield. I find newspaper does a great job in cleaning all glass. Thanks for the video!
I was just going to say something like that. lol If you want to quickly clean off the grime but don't have all this equipment on hand (like on road trips), either get a newspaper or even paper napkins from fast food restaurants will be sufficient enough to wipe it off. You'll just need to use a little bit of elbow grease to get the grime off.
Newspaper can easily scratch glass. Be careful, and paper napkins can leave a mess
Thanks Dan!
@@KunoMochi oh God no, the feel of newspaper, just touching it, is like nails on a chalkboard. That literally sounds painful to use it to clean glass. With that said, I knew people that used to do this when I was a kid, in particular for larger windows in their house, in particular sliding glass doors.
Awesome idea Pan, I mean placing microfiber cloth on the dash. Cheers 🍻 👏
👍🏻
Thanks Pan. Greetings from Papua New Guinea 🇵🇬

Squeegees and scrubs pads are the best glass cleaning tools. Degreasing glass is really key like you did with the dawn. ill do that on my glasses too.

This helps a lot, I was having so many streaks trying to clean windows the other day, I started with a small amount of rinseless wash in the shade on a plush side towel, then I switched to ipa 1:2 dilution which made the windows worse 😂then I finally misted some spray away on which got the windows 90%. It was an absolute headache. Definitely buying that extended microfiber towel.
Man sometimes i use a brand new towel with some invisible glass cleaner and still get streaks i hate it

Great video Pan! I've used the magic eraser and stoner invisible glass. Even with clean waffle weave towels I still have dry marks. The squeegee is going to work better I think. Thank you Pan!
Thanks!
@@PanTheOrganizer I have also been learning French from yourself and Yvan Lacroix so I hope this is correct. Merci pour cette video
Thanks Pan, great video, I hate cleaning glass. Cool tips.
Thanks!
Please mention somewhere that if you have a HUD in your vehicle, you want to be particularly careful. For example, you do NOT want to use a magic eraser, and you also want to be careful with adding anything to the water other than the dish soap. The film on HUD windshields is very easy to damage and the windshields are very expensive to replace.
I use 1 part vinegar to 3 parts water, white scrub pad, squeegee and leather chamois. Nothing cheaper than vinegar. Does a great job.
Epic Pan!! God knows we all hate cleaning glass...especially inside of windshield. Gotta give this a try. 👍

Thanks for another great tips video. Would this method be ok on tinted glass like the ceramic tint for windshields
I spoke to a tint film expert at XPEL, and he said it’s safe. As long as you don’t use ammonia based products on tint film.
Hey Pan. Great video. I didn’t see anyone ask this question, but would this same method be safe with a ceramic tinted windshield? I want to try but not sure what’s safe and isn’t safe on ceramic tints. Thanks. And just subscribed to your channel. Loving the content so far!!
Yes same method.
Sheesh Pan, I just cleaned my windows about an hour ago and I come back to see this video(lol). If you want invisible glass use MAG aluminum wheel polish- been doing it for 2 years after seeing sweetprojectcars video. We have a fleet of trucks I've done all of them, my neighbors cars, my families. My dad's told everybody about it. It's the craziest thing we've ever seen!
A continuing bugaboo. Windshield interiors. Honestly I save a lot of money by just using 20%-33% mixtures of IPA with water. I use a glass microfiber from Harbor Freight and get super-clear internal glass. No need to spend a fortune on product which often leaves streaks and smears. Like the reminder to cover the dashboard to prevent overspray, thanks for that.

so the windshield on the inside of my car had a greasy film to it and i could never get it clean. so i watched your video's and learned what it is and why its on the inside of my windshield. I never knew this.I followed your methods and BAM i got all of it clean and now its like there is nothing there its so clean. i even used the clay bar on it. Damn good advise thank you a bunch.
Thanks Jeff!
I got so confused when I saw my car on the thumbnail but a Pan video lol, but gr8 video!
Thanks!
Our dog puts his nose to the glass on the door to the patio when he needs to go out and wants to come in, and it was crusted over on both sides with dog saliva. I tried cleaning it with Windex earlier today, but it didn't make a dent. Then I watched this video and thought it is worth a try. Using Palmolive (my wife's detergent of choice) in warm water and a magic eraser, I tried again. The glass is so clean now, it is amazing!
PS. Looking forward to this year's Product Rankings video.
Thanks for the feedback! My annual car detailing products awards is coming before the end of the month so stay tuned!
Hi Pan, always great to see more videos from you. With all the windshield care both internal and external, do you have and recommendations on what windshield wiper fluid to use in the vehicle’s reservoir? Any custom DIY mixtures? I feel that I don’t trust what chemicals the standard blue jug of wiper fluid stocked on shelves has that could potentially cause harm to my vehicles applied glass coatings and paint protection. Like always fantastic tips Pan! I do have one question though. Can't automotive glass cleaners such as the Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Streak Free Glass Cleaner do the trick as well?
Glass cleaners are more used for finishing or maintenance of clean glass. For off gassing, or a smoker’s car, a greasy film, you need more degreasing power.
@@PanTheOrganizer Great, thanks for clearing that up Pan👍🏻.
Is there any type of sealant that can be put on a dash that will prevent or eliminate off gassing that messes up your windshield? Great tip on using Dawn. We keep a bottle in the laundry room and it gets used for all kinds of things. I use it to clean my eye glasses!
Not really, as you actually want the off gassing to finish, the materials need to breathe, if not you'd be trapping a potential gas and causing who knows what damage to the surface or your health. All interior products are usually "breathable".
First I use Angelwax Vision to clean the glass, then clean it again with invisible glass. Basically like a compound, polish method
Hi Pan, slightly off topic, but related to glass: have you ever heard of or tried using steel wool on glass to remove slight scratches from wiper blades ? Thanks
I polish the glass when needed like in my polishing tutorial here: czcams.com/video/yMi5PtyqUI8/video.html
The best glass cleaning tip was from sweet project cars MAG wheel polish- I swear on my life it will make the glass cleaner than you've ever seen. Basically invisible.

dawn will leave a invisable layer of soap on glass when wiping with squeegee, are you saying the waffle veive micro fiber will remove the invisavle layer of soap? you dont have to use ipa or mineral spirits to remove the invisable layer of soap b4 aplying a sealant?
I use a 0000 steel wool on the outside and it works wonders.
Do you recommend and anti fog or rainx type product on the inner windshield and external windshield? Also, what is quickest way to remove those? Is that the function of a degreaser like dawn? Thanks.
Nothing needed on the inside, as long as you degrease and clean that properly. For the exterior, I do recommend a glass sealant for sure. Watch my video on that topic here: czcams.com/video/IEIlHZ2D4ig/video.html

Hey Pan quick question for you,do you have any idea what can leave a sparkly hard to remove residue on driver and passenger side tinted windows ?Do you think it's the airbags,or so else?
It's hard to say without seeing in person. There's just so much troubleshooting one can do virtually hehe.

Hey @Pan, so what about the glass cleaners you reviewed in the other video? Does it make any sense to use them, or should we just stick with 'soapy' water?
After you clean with soapy water, go over it one last time with the glass cleaner.
