I had my 11yr old son try this. He worked for about 10 mins and gave up. His excuse? "Dad why do I need to clean this glass? You're the one that's going to be driving me everywhere". I laughed and promptly put him up for adoption the next day.

Dish Washing Liquid mixed with water, or for extra cleaning power:
Dish Washing Liquid mixed with diluted White Vinegar (two parts water/one part vinegar).
(Works on all glass products, oils, and soapscum)
For shower glass, combine a plastic body sponge (Loofah) with regular steel wool and squirt mixture onto it during showering.
While showering scrub the wet glass with circular motions. (Too much pressure not necessary.)
(As long as the glass is amply wet then there is little chance of scratching shower glass.)
Cleaning soapscum window never been easier. (If not all of the soapscum is removed the first time: Just repeat again during your next shower.
Chrome plated ware: Use mixture with a toothbrush, or just a plastic body sponge (Loufa)
(Which also helps clean baths; plastics and porcelain without damaging the enamel coatings.)
I hope this all helps you for a lifetime...

3:05 A great alternative to your back hand method, especially for those who might not be physically able to do that, is to use a wooden paint mixing stick. If you fold your microfiber cloth in half, and then in half again, but this time having the cloth between the layers of cloth, point the stick towards the glass, not parallel, you will have an easy way to reach deep down towards where the glass and dash meet. When doing your final step on the interior, use a vertical wiping pattern, then on the exterior glass, for your final step, use a horizontal wiping pattern. This will allow you to see which side of the glass has the streaking, and it makes it super easy to remove, even in daylight.

I spent $6 on a spray bottle of a windshield cleaner at Auto Zone. It left streaks and smears. It was useless. Hi Chris. I really enjoy your videos. You take so much time and attention to detail and the videos are well thought out. For this video, I just wanted to add that I often use a little natural all-purpose cleaner that you can buy in a grocery store and then rinse the glass with clean water. Next I spray a mixture of 50-50 water and white vinegar and dry immediately with a clean paper towel. I have found that some glass cleaners contain ammonia and create a haze when driving into the sun or when driving at night. Again, thank you. All the best for continued success with your vids.

Great presentation. I used your interior cleaning to prep my truck to trade in. The dealer was very impressed with the cleanliness of the interior. Whether it helped increase my trade in... Who knows. With the used market needed vehicles I got almost what I paid for it six years ago. Talk about a good move.
I think that cleaning the glass is only part of controlling the glare on the driver. The glare also comes from residue on the exterior and also on the dirty dash. Keeping those clean makes driving a lot easier.

So glad you mentioned it later. Also many people have 10 on their front window inside windows I don't know what state you live in but these videos you make should apply to everybody. Mr Fix. Great video. Thank you for sharing. I think you might have gone a little extreme suggesting that if the microfiber touches the dash you have to start with a new one, but I agree with your overall concept. I would add to that to remind people that if they wash and reuse their microfiber, do NOT use fabric softener. It causes the same problem. It deposits oils in the cloth to keep them soft which will also make them streak. Newsprint is another great way to clean glass if you finish it off with a clean microfiber.
