When you listen closely to low German and Frisian you can clearly here where the English accents come from. It’s all so interesting.
Same. I could hear the beginnings of North East England dialects.
We have west frisian in scots
@@JohnMartin-jx1wz OK. The dialect here is upper Saxon. It is not the same as Lower Saxon (Niedersägsisch)which is the form of low German (Plattdeutsch)descended from the language of the Saxons who stayed behind in northern Germany and southern Denmark and did not cross the North Sea to Britain with Angles friesians and Jutes It is a very different language and in a very different region than what you are hearing in this video. So, these parallels that you are hearing are just regular German parallels. They don’t really indicate any close connection with English or English’s forebears.
I swear to god I heard the English accent in there in a weird way! So it wasn’t just me!
@@UstashaMe84
Anglo Saxon. 🏴
I lived in Dresden when I was younger and learned Hochdeutsch from my teachers, but my friends taught me Sächsisch! So once I came back to the States and went to college to start my German degree, I noticed how different I sounded from my professor from Bayern. I’ll always have my Sächsisch accent/dialect!
That is amazing 😃
@Kaitlyn Kessler I once worked with a French guy who'd learnt English in Glasgow. It had to be heard to be believed.
Now I see why I can hardly understand a word the elderly here say! I'm still learning high German.
at least you're able to watch 'go trabi go' and enjoy it!😁
Bavaria is big. In some small part around "Ludscht" (Ludwigstadt), Bavarians speak a Saxonian dialect. This is because lots of miners and diggers from Saxonia came in that area. It is also the only Bavarian community north of the so called "Rennsteig", which devides the creeks to Elbe from that running to Main, but also the sound of Franconia from Thuringa, where the latter is closer to Saxonian dialect. On the other hand there are some villages in Thuringa and Saxonia, where people speak a Franconian dialect.
Sounds like German from Dublin
Yes I've said Texan's, but your are right
Couldn't have said it better myself lol
Ja..it does sound it has have Gaelic sound.. especially with the lilt..
@@sophiacarney7258 Dublin accent is more like older Middle English than Gaelic accent wise, if you look up recreations. It's very 'Germanic', which is why this observation is so great.
(for more Gaelic accent look up the traditional/strong Kerry, Cork and Mayo accents)
It is. Weird German..I LoVe it.
Best Anime Crossover
😂😂😂
Zwei besondere Personen zusammen.
Das ist Toll.
Two special people together?
@@petersnelling9047 yes
or in other words : two special people together- thats great :D (special in the...bad, kind of way)
When you hear that Germans don't smile, Anja is here to prove they're wrong about it.
Ich lebte 6 Jahre in Leipzig und Dresden. Das war echt eine schöne Zeit. Mit dem sächsischen Dialekt habe ich kaum Schwierigkeiten gehabt.
Seit ca. 3 Jahren lebe ich in Schleswig-Holstein.
Dialekte machen jede Sprache schwieriger aber auch reicher.
Du bist sicher sprachlich begabt
@@jandamskier6510 ❤️lichen Dank
@@jandamskier6510 To be fair though, Standard German is based on dialect of Martin Luther (the man who first translated the Bible into German). He translated into his own dialect which was one of the Upper Saxony dialects, which the Dresden dialect falls under.
sounds like a drunk german trying to speak dutch
As a German, can just say:it IS drunk German trying to speak Dutch.
@@ichverrateeuchmeinennamenn7898 😆😆😆😆😆
Sounds more like a Dutch dialect called Twents
As someone who speaks both, I agree🤣
More like a dutchman trying to speak german🤣
This is the best cross over EVEEEEEEER!!!!
I agree with u : D
Too much awesomeness together!
Victor Wolf 😎😎😎😊😊😊💜💜💜
Ich habe nie gedacht, dass meine liebsten Deutschlehrer in einem Video zusammenkommen würden. Bitte machen Sie mehr zusammen!
That was fun! Blew my mind to hear Anja speak like that. I really appreciat the work you both are doing.
The best teachers together 🖤❤
So glad to see you two together on video! During summer school last August I was wishing Anja was there. And now it has finally happened. Please make more videos you two. You make a great team! ❤️
Fun seeing you both together! I support both channels and learn different things from each. I love hearing the different dialects. Enjoyed the Bayerische video from sometime ago.
Der Dialekt hört sich so lustig an. Bin mir nicht sicher, ob ich alles verstehen könnte, wenn ich mich mit der Frau unterhalten müsste. 😂😀
Ein tolles Videos.
Liebe Grüße. 😊
I was so thrilled to see you both together. I posted your easy german lesson to my connections on linked to know you both instantly. Great job again Cari and Anja you guys are the best German Teachers to hang around and learn german the fastest.

Ganz toll
Wow! Anja! I've been following you for so long now. It is sooooo cool to see you on Easy German. :) I like videos like these where you compare dialects. I am used to different dialects in England and as much as I love German I am not very familiar with the German dialects. Thank you Anja and Easy German!!
Yes!!! I love this! I love Anja's videos as well! Nice collaboration.
Anja und Cari zusammen 😍😍😍 wie schöööönn 😍😍😍
That was great fun!! Hope you make more together! Love you both!!
Woow my two favorite German channels together!! This is pretty cool!!
Feeling good to see both of yoi together! Looking forward to see more collab videos! A suggestion: Some videos of German Linguistics and how to *develop* the required accent.

greeting.
Zwei die beste Deutschlehrerin auf youtube. Zwei die beste Kanäle zusammen. Bravo, tollll, wunderbar.
Ich liebe euch beide:)))
"Halt do mal die Gusche" sounds similar to my local dialect (Geordie spoken in Newcastle, England). We say "had ye gob" (basically, hold your mouth/shut up).
We have some Frisian and old norse vocabulary :)
Is like 'houdt je kop' in dutch. Different writing but similar pronounciation.
@@deanevo800 gotta say I prefer the sound of hou je bek more, it feels like it's phonetically intimidating. Like it rolls of the tongue so nicely but sounds demanding in any tone :D
Nederlands heeft heelveel mooie dingen als dit
@@Likes_Trains hou, or houdt je bek is more powerful yes, and has a more vulgar meaning than kop. Also it's common to swing in some diseases too for max effect,, like tyfusbek. You're supposed to say the words like gunshots.lol
Cari und Anja Velen Dank, das war so Lustig :)))
Anja - Du sprichst und lautest mit Deinem sächsischen Dialekt wunderschön. Ihr beide, also Anja und Carina, macht für uns alle, die deutsch lernen sehr gute Arbeit. Schöne Grüβe aus Polen!

SUPER Video! Love Anja ! Explains a lot why Anja speaks like she does on her Channel ! Danke !
Ich wusste nicht, dass die wunderbare Anja noch andere germanische Sprache oder Dialekt beherrschen konnte. Das ist doch ganz toll!!. Ich liebe die Videos Anjas, weil sie lustig und einfach sind, aber ich bedanke mich auch für die Hilfe, die Easy German Team uns allen gegeben hat

Nice video with my two favorite german youtubers! Greetings from Brazil!
Clutched my pearls at the sound of that saxon accent
Es macht mir großen Spaß, dieses Video von ihnen zu sehen.
Ich habe vor ein paar Jahren in Italien etwas Ähnliches erlebt.
Ich lerne deutsch von ihnen. Vielen Dank!
I'm watching this video just before enrolling myself @TU-Dresden... Now this makes things exciting. ... (I'm on B1 niveau)
This brings two best German teachers together. I will always celebrate it.... Thank you.
Tolles Video!
Eines meiner zukünftigen Ziele ist es nach Dresden zu gehen :D so hoffe ich, dass ich diesen interessanten Dialekt hören kann:)
That was super! I adore both Cari and Anja
Love these women! What a treat seeing them together!
I have a Saxony dialect when I talk 😂 I love it! But I could also speak formal if I had too.
The two best teachers on CZcams!!
What a great video idea! Loved it!
First of all, sorry for my bad English.Wow Anja you have done great work. I haven't never ever thought that you can make another german accent and language. That language was somewhat harsh and cool. I like you both. Cari you are also great. Your standard accent was also good. I hope you can make more videos with Anja
Wow! That was very interesting. I didn't realize that Saxony had a different dialect. When I visited Dresden a couple of years ago I didn't experience that but that's probably because the people I spoke with could tell I was a foreigner.
That was a very good and entertaining video! Sehr gut!
Danke danke! Please make more!
thank you Anja and Cari for letting us know that not only we have to deal with German but also with MANY dialects!! hahahaaaa - Nice, fun video, thank you! you should do more videos together
We will!
My two favorite teachers ever! 😍

Uuff haha ich hatte mich damit erschreckt 😁 Vielen Dank, beide sind sehr gute Lehrerinnen
Super Video! Ich habe einen Kollegen, der aus Sachsen kommt, und ich gerate fast immer in Schwierigkeiten wenn ich mit ihm spreche, ich muss mich richtig konzentrieren um ihn zu verstehen. 🙂 Die Vielfalt der dt Sprache ist sehr interessant.
so schwer isses ja nu och wiedor ni
Aww yay...two of my favs together!! 🙌
Das war echt toll!
1:13 , in Polen sagt man auch sehr oft „no“ wenn man ans Telefon geht 😂😂
Eigentlich ist es aber eher ein "nu" das in Sachsen immer für "ja" benutzt wird.
SEHR GUT. DAS IST WUNDERBAR. DANKE SCHON. EASY GERMAN.
I love both of you. Thank you to make a good youtube for us.
Oh see everyone my online German language teachers... Love you both.
Like the French have their name from the Franks, even though they don’t speak Frankish, the Saxon German dialect (linguistically called Upper Saxon) has no connection to the Old Saxon language that was closely related to Old English (aka Anglo-Saxon).
Low Saxon (also called Low German) is the predecessor of the Old Saxon language.
So, the Low Saxon language and the Upper Saxon dialect of the German language are actually not as close to each other at all as their names would imply.
Interesting info, thanks.
They use too.
Danke! Das war sehr interessant!
Ihr beiden seid die besten.
Que legal! Excelente. Maravilhoso encontro.
Wunderbar
Best episode ever!
Wow!!!! Zwei tolle Schauspielerinnen!;! Vor allem Anja, die nicht nur die Stimme geändert hat, sondern auch die Geste!! Super 😺
Danke für das Lob! :D
Omg it's Anja I love her channel
Explains family energy (red-clear hair Saxon) especially my mother 😂🕊 thank you
