I would definitely recommend seeing them live when possible, they are theatrical and fun.

The frontman was very inspired by the fact that there is eternal silence outside our planet. Johannes also mentioned that this song expresses the main idea of the album - the cyberpunk future, which the band Fear Factory warned about 30 years ago. And in the clip there is a typical Avatar theme of fighting inner demons.
Polaroids are just a brilliant idea!😘Johannes filmed it at home (by night in park XD with his wife as camera woman) in Finland in April, by the way. Band performance filmed in March before ride in Russia in 2020. Scream SILENCE was recorded at the final concert of the Avatar Country tour in San Francisco on October 4, 2019.
“Initially we did an entirely different music video [for ‘Silence In The Age Of Apes’] but we had this idea that in hindsight is scary how well it fits with what is happening this year due to the pandemic,” Eckerström explains. “It would confront us with the reason if we had two weeks left to live. Two minutes you would call your mom, two years you carry on as normal, but two weeks? That’s a good question. We did a whole story with actors who dealt this in different ways [the imminent end of the world], but when it came to editing it wasn’t strong enough. We started over when the pandemic hit and since I live in Finland and the other guys are in Sweden I had to invent something at home. We had to re-film the entire thing and I had to do my part from my house. We have a really cool part that I’m singing through these polaroids and we would not have come up with that if we were together. I do not hate things with strict limitations. It pushes your creative boundaries.”
Yeр, unlike the Colossus, they had to reshoot the meaning part, whereas in the Colossus - the performance of the band like the holograms. Main riff wait for use kinda about 20 years, since first Avatar days.
By the way, rejected clip idea turned into On the Beach song! From Dance Devil Dance album 2023. Based on self-titled novel by Nevil Shute. Last months of few humankind in nuclear apocalypse.

I read an article where Johannes was analyzing this song. It is actually about all the mistakes humanity has made all these years.People have to speed up the progress in order to survive otherwise if we keep avoid the past in the end it is gonna be to late to do something.
