  • Here we'll take a look at the osprey kamber 22 backpack that is banded and sold through lacroixboards.com as an option for carrying your board when you're not riding it. Hope you find this helpful.

Gotta love the thoughtfulness of Osprey packs

Thanks for making that review video. It was good to see the pockets and ease of attaching the board. In a future video, it would be good to see it on your back, and even walk around and go up and down stairs to see how it performs (if the board sags down after a while or if the trucks or deck hit you in the legs or back of the head., etc). Also knowing how hard it is to actually get on and off your back would be great. For us urban dwellers, that would all be awesome to know. Thanks again!

Thanks for watching. Yeah you have a good point and I would've liked to have done something like you suggested but I'm actually still healing up from a recent collarbone surgery and I'm not supposed to put that much weight on it quite yet. Otherwise I would've actually put it on. Once I get clearance that I'm all healed up I might try to make an update to cover the points you mentioned.

I sure wish they shipped that backpack to the USA, I love my Osprey hiking pack. I'm about to purchase a Lacroix board and I'm super excited! Your vids have been terrific help in my search for a great e-board. Thank you.

solarjinx thanks for watching my videos. I'm happy to hear that you have found them to be helpful. I didn't realize they don't ship the bag to the USA... That's interesting. Are you referring to the one lacroix offers specifically?

Yeah, I’m super bummed they won’t ship to the USA as well. I’m probably gonna just buy the regular version from eBay for around $125

Your Source Yes, that's the one I'm referring to. For some weird reason, they don't ship it to the states. But at least they ship their boards ;)

Ramon Solorio I'm gonna search for that pack you're referring to.

solarjinx wow I didn't realize that... I wonder why.. Have you emailed them about it? The good news is that if you just want the bag you probably can still get it from another source just without the lacroix logo. Plus you could go for their kamber 32 version if you want similar features and ability to carry your board but with more space to carry more stuff.

The Evolve Backpack is a little weak on the materials side of things. This looks like a great option, the Obed bag is quite good too.

I would've liked to see it on your back to see how it would look being carried.
That said, the LaCroix bag doesn't ship out of country, thus if you live in the USA or elsewhere, you can't buy it through LaCroix.
You can however buy it directly from Osprey and other retailers like REI.
And there are also bigger versions of the Osprey Kamber. It comes in 22, 32, and 42 liter sized. There is also a version designed specifically for a womans body. I think it's called the Kestral and comes in 20, 30 and 40 liter sizes.
I personally own the Kamber 42 that I got at REI on closeout for $140. I have full workout days that requires a larger bag to handle the amount of stuff I carry. The 32 probably would've handled it, but the 42 on closeout was a better price.
That said, there is one feature that is available with the 32 and 42 that that the 22 doesn't have. You can strap the board on the inside of the bag in a horizontal carry. Which honestly might be more awkward than outside. But likely situationally dependent.
    That said, otherwise great review.

Edit: just checked REI.com. the 42 in red is still available on closeout for $142

Thanks for your comments and all the additional information. I'm sure a lot of people will find that helpful. Yeah sorry I couldn't put it on. I'm still healing up from a recent collarbone surgery and I'm not supposed to put that much weight on it quite yet.
