I love Barb Wire. I'm glad Ebert recognized its not as dumb as they say it is. I didn't recognize Sharon Stone in that movie. She really improved her acting in the late 90s but wasn't in any good films.

One thing I liked about Roger ebert is that he was a bit of a horn dog, and rarely hid it very well. Guess that would explain beyond the valley of the dolls

@@Blodia1990 Roger Ebert was a screenwriter for the movie "BEYOND THE Valley of the Dolls" not to be confused with the original "Valley of the Dolls."

It's because he played a slightly different version of Ross. Dude only has one speed.

5:31 Ebert summarizing Barb Wire in pretty relevant today:
"Congressional right-wingers have staged a second civil war in the year 2017". Unfortunately, we shall see what kind of right-wing craziness the 2024 election will bring to the country.

Right-wing craziness? I believe it was the Left-wing who had massive protests and were screaming in the streets when Trump was elected.

Great White Hype is very underrated, wonderfully cynical with some hilarious performances from Damon Wayans and Peter Berg

In the annals of Trash Classics, I think it's eventually going to rank pretty high. 😄

The only film i ever recommend is the craft, the female version of the lost boys, i didn't like any of the others, one thumb up, 4 thumbs down.

Barb Wire is cool as the grindhouse entertaining trash that it is. And nobody know the real effort Pamela Anderson and the crew did it to make that movie

Whiny ass Schwimmer doesn’t have the acting chops to lead a movie.

I Didn't like the film either, it has none of the charm of the graduate which was an amazing film.

Did Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert give it two thumbs up on "The Great White Hype," "Last Dance" and "Barb Wire" in 1996? Did they come back from the dead in 2017, was it because they were mentioned on the Home Hunter show on July 16, 2017 because they reviewed "Last Dance?"
