In this episode I teamed up with Sonja (OMGITSFIREFOXX) to make the LA to Las Vegas drive a little more fun! We stopped at The Worlds Largest Dinosaur attraction, an building designed by aliens, an abandoned water park in the middle of the desert and even found alien jerky!

23 years ago I had my girlfriend and her kids in my truck ( 18 wheels ) and we stopped there to let the kids play and get a legal logbook done .... left there and a few minutes later I got pulled into the weight station and they asked for my paperwork and log book..... I couldn't let them know I had passengers so had to play it very cool, the DOT officer asked me " what in the world did you do for 12 hours at Cabazon??!" I replied..... those dinosaurs were amazing ( in a enthusiastic voice) the other DOT cops busted out in laughter. Back then he couldn't write a ticket unless he could prove it was fraudulent. He handed me my paperwork and logbook and told me to have a nice day....... those were the days.

2019 We drove from L.A. to Cathedral City then Palm Springs to do the aerial tramway.....deffo gonna head back from the UK and do this road trip...awesome..!!!!

I betting Adam knows, but then again smart doesn't always mean your science literate? A poll done a few years back had a large number of young British believing the Moon landings were a hoax. Neil we have a family trip to Dublin, Edinburgh and London in July. I am really looking forward to Scotland the most. My mum is a Henderson and our ancestors come from Fordell over on the north side of the Forth. Interestingly, we are also related to Robert The Bruce. Anyway, we hope our trip isn't canceled due to Corona that would suck!

This is exactly the reason to visit AdawSwords this cornucopia that is America is being explored and for me,who will never visit,it is a wonderful vicarious adventure for a few moments whilst I wait for rooms to air at work here in London.Those big skies and creepy Breaking Bad backdrop are fascinating and part of the USA which we rarely have access to even the last stop before Las Vegas was interesting.Let's be honest what other country would a town in a desert,yes funded by vast funny money,be a success ,only in the USA and probably China.
As always interesting and gagging for more of the great American outdoors.

Look it up, we stopped either on the was to Vegas or LA one year. We stayed at the Flamingo when it was there and the MGM. Its great at night but during the day, oh hum.

I used to be a fan of the GTR's and I still am, there was a huge cruise in Las vegas to celebrate the beginning of the year from Vegas to Pahrump. I was fortunate enough to be able to cruise with one of the few GTR's in Vegas and man they're awesome cars. Fast, fun to drive it looked like.
Wow, you never fail to bring back memories for me. You are experiencing these things for the first time, and I experienced them when I was a child back in the 60's lol You were near Palm Springs, and the windmills at one point, which is where I was born. Believe it or not, my mother, and grandparents lived in Palm Springs for a period of time, two doors down from Bob Hope. Me mum met him just once, and I have a picture of it somewhere. We, they were not rich, just happened to live near Mr. Hope. lol
P.S. You guys missed Giant Rock which was the world's largest free standing boulder in Lander's. It was the largest until a piece broke off in 2000. Maybe next trip. lol
Ah, we have stayed at the Luxor until they placed us in a room above the night club inside, that was a miserable night, and they wouldn't move us. Anyhoo, you need to go inside the Luxor, and ride elevator. It goes up at a slant, and provides a very weird feeling, kinda like a helicopter ride.

hey adam ed here harleys in the desert pioneer town is my backyard surprised you found us theres a restaurant and bar ther called pappy and harriets and last year paul mccartney popped in and did a concert for us with only 50 people and weve had just about every rock nroll group show up over the years to play 3yrs ago jimmy page popped on for lunch and jammed for a couple hours the rock n rollers come up in between gigs at coachella fest and eat and play you found our hidden gem you drove my little town morongo valley on your way anyways theyve shot major movies there on any day they are always shooting commerrcials too ok c ya soon
