Planning a road trip between Los Angeles and Las Vegas? Avoid these 3 mistakes for a smooth journey. #roadtrip #lasvegas #losangeles #traveltips #vegas
There is plans to bring a train between las and la back, it was a thing in the 80s but when amtrak had budget cuts it was cut, its going to be back by 2035, probably earlier as california is pishing for it and we put lots of money into train projects. Also broghtline west is doing the same route with a high speed train, no word on when that will be built but would be an incredibly useful project
@@alfredgalan1912 what do you mean by this, trains are a net good economically, take cars off the road and transport more people, who will have to stay the night atleast in one the 2 citys, eat, gamble, do business, ect
@@japanamericacar427 what do I mean, I mean the excetera. There is enough crime and violence, now you want to give them or you a means to add to that. Keeping it real đŻ
This is probably my favorite stretch of road Iâve ever driven on. I just love the way the beautiful desert landscape contrasts with my every day environment on the east coast. It feels like exploring another world. I have been lucky and have never experienced super bad traffic. I have heard horror stories though.
That is part of the reason why i moved to Vegas...i visited once was amazed by the desert scenery went home to NYC where i lived all my life and i started planning my move... Been living out here for a year and the drives are still so surreal
You mean donât drive on a Friday to Vegas from LA or any other area. Plus sheâs making it sound like the drive is terrible. Just plan accordingly n youâre good.
As someone who has dricen the 15 to victorville on a weekend, yes, it is a nightmare, take a bus or the train once that comes back sometime before 2035, flying is also a nightmare but not as bad as driving
Sheâs right. You can leave for Vegas from LA on Friday but leaving after 11am can be a dice roll. I donât think sheâs making it sound terrible just informative for those that donât know. I went to Vegas for the 1st time in Thanksgiving 2009 and didnât know any better. We left Sunday at checkout and it took 8 1/2 hrs to get back to OC, 2 hrs just to reach Stateline. I think her review is solid
Luckily Iâm in San Diego itâs so much easier Riverside San Bernardino have traffic but Iâm guessing LA is much worse because Iâve gone rush hour and itâs not terrible
They are working on building a bullet train system that will take people from LA to Las Vegas. It depends on the model trains but typically a bullet train can go over a 100 miles perour taking passengers from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. Think about it for only something like $50 to $100 You could write a train that can go between 1 to 200 miles per hour. Is making a 4 and a 1/2 hour drive to Maybe only 2 hours. And be cheaper and easier to get back on than an airplane.
And NEVER leave for Vegas from L.A. on the Friday night before a three-day weekend. It can take you 7-8 hours just to get to Hesperia - about 60 miles. I-15 can be a BITCH!!!
We avoid the Mojave Desert route. The time savings isnât worth it when youâre driving and you have no cell phone signal. Also the windy road is a rollercoaster at night. Stay on the main highway instead. Consider stopping at Barstow or Baker for gas, comfy pit stops and restaurants. Eddieâs World is a nice stop for gas and clean roomy bathrooms. And the candy shop there has a nice selection.
We do this drive consistently for many years for work. I average 3-4k miles a month. Every point you made is super accurate đ Pilot on Lenwood in Barstow is an easy in and out for gas. Stop either way bc like you said, once you pass Barstow there isnât even a hotel until Prim NV. For me the hardest leg can be what should be the simplestâŠ. Stateliness to home (NV). Stay safe and STOP. If you have to. Someone needs to build a hotel in Baker.
Meh I've driven literally everyday back and forth for much much much longer than you or 99% of other people making this trip have. Most of these dont apply to most of the year. Driving from Vegas/Henderson to LA should 999999% of the time be a 4-4.5 hour drive with normal traffic. With accident especially on part going downhill from Victorville to San Bernardino, driving to OC will be 5 hours.
There needs to be a passenger train between these cities.

Yup, to boost up the crimeđ

Anytime you travel this route, take this advice from a Vegas native, stop at Apollos in Victorville for the best burgers ever !!!!!!

I leave Sunday am but Iâm on the road before sun up. Totally accurate video though
Failed to mention the 115° temperatures, Baker has a thermometer that goes up to 120 that you can see from the I15.
Don't forget the Cajon Pass. One of the most deadly stretch of road with accidents happening almost every day.
Have driven this route many many times its a nice drive driving thru the desert
There are plenty of stops nowadays but its still both boring and dangerous, with many drivers exceeding 100 mph
Friday afternoon and Sunday are the absolute worst for traffic. Along the LA-Vegas journey, always pop in to Roy's in Barstow for breakfast or lunch!
I've never had a problem making the LA to Vegas run, I've always had smooth sails
When driving the I-15 during the day, be prepared to encounter driving idiots; one every five minutes.
Omg, thanks for this. Iâll be soon driving from L.A to Bostonđź
This is a very well put together video. Thank you :)
Yes! I'm from Barstow. Definitely try the Old Del Taco! Calico Ghost Town is also worth your time.
Nice amazing, thx for sharing đ
I remember that snow. We made it there just as they were clearing the road so we only had a short wait.
great video. thanks so much.
I'm an East coaster. Thanks for those tips.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks đ
Awesome I literally love Dell taco I eat food there five times a week
Canât wait for Brightline West.
I want to ride my bicycle from LV to LA
Good Luck Him Bike! đ Hope you enjoy it.
The interstate sucks and is dangerous for biking. Take the scenic route through Kelso, Amboy and 29 Palms to Banning.
@@tech9803I go through there all the time to Vegas and I live in Desert Hot Springs
Good job guys there is interest here.
Good information...thanks đ
Sooooooooo trueâŠâŠ..
Tesla Charging along this route is best used between midnight and 9 AM, Non-Tesla chargers are usually broken or a long wait.
Anybody recommend getting off at the state line, and taking Las Vegas Blvd from there to Vegas?
Are all these videos the same voice. I'm getting bees vibes.
I haven't take that trip from LA to Vegas in over 15 years.
And stop at the abandoned water park đ

Can confirm. All accurate. When I drive home from Vegas to LA area I always leave at 6am Sunday morning. If u wait till 8am or later ur fcuked

â@@jumpy2xstreamingAs long as you don't hit the 405 you're good to go. đ
So ABALOOTLY true!!!

Great idea, but nobody wants to pay for it. The casinos should subsidize it, but theyâre doing fine without it.
Bro the drive is so ez i did it like two times in a week back and forth just leave late and go all night
Do Not Stop in the desert for anything even if you see ppl laying in the road go around never stop. There things out there
You KNOW it is a long drive when you finally find a toilet, there is a line....at the men's room.
Cut thru Pear Blossom Hwy and save 30-45 minutes. đ
Why no traveling on a Sunday?
Biggest mistake from LA to Vegas, is to think about anything! Just jump in you car and go!!
I think I will just take the train. Oh waitâŠ
And NEVER leave for Vegas from L.A. on the Friday night before a three-day weekend. It can take you 7-8 hours just to get to Hesperia - about 60 miles. I-15 can be a BITCH!!!
Always stop at barstow an have a mcdonald's
Everything she said is true. That's why I go to the Indian casinos.
At least they don't charge resort fee. yes, many of them have hotels.
The unexpected like.... losing all your money lol

The Arne's Royal Hawaiian Motel (1957-2009).
In other words, don't do it. I have made this drive both ways. It sucks.
I don't gamble, not going.
Better yet, stay where you are at.đ

No desire to ever be there âŠ
