As a 16 year old lad, I fell in love with the lifestyle portrayed in the TV show "The OC". I wanted so bad to move out there one day to surf in the mornings and make bonfires on the beach at sunset. Well 15 years later and I've finally realised my dream...although I can't surf and bonfires on beaches are illegal.

As soon as I saw the title, I knew you were going to say it was because of ‘The OC’. One of my favorite shows, I have all the seasons on DVD lol. Growing up in So Cal, I knew it wasn’t like it at all. But it was still a good show. And Summer was hot!

I live in OC and love driving, the roads are wide, well kept and scenic. Modjeska was an actress who lived there long ago.
A lot of car commercials are filmed on those oak-lined roads, but there was a big fire a few years ago so it's actually LESS woody.
It's great right now because gas is cheap (although the CHP has been out en force catching speeders)
Thankfully the beaches will be opening again very soon.
Edit: Be very very careful on Ortega Highway. :( :( :(
And I love trying to catch Fence lizards! They have a bright blue belly and go hypnotized when you hold them that way

Hey man, love yours and Michaels. I think you would both get more views it you spaced your uploads apart because to watch both would take nearly an hour so I usually just watch one, if they where spaced out I would watch both.
You do realise they live on the internet forever right? You can watch them any time you want

Love the views man, grew up in the area and can't say I don't miss it. Check out Holy Jim, Irvine lake, and Ortega. Imagine you took that road heading back but it's a fun drive.
I'm Swiss, but lived two years in Newport on Balboa B street in the 80s. Compared to today, it was still a sleepy place. I remember the ferris wheel and a restaurant called "Tale of the Whale". I do not know if they still exist.
no idea about the restaurant but the ferries wheel still exists.

Hey mate! Since you are now a watch aficionado, a horologist if you will, you should look into my favourite brand - Sinn! They make really really bad ass watches that are made to work in the worst conditions you can think of. Many of their tool watches are made of some special hardened submarine steel, they are really easy to read and they are made for professionals. Diving watches, pilot watches, military watches. They've made them all, and they are really nice.
I think you would like the new U50 model :) And I bet it's really rare over in the US as well!

Wow a million questions. The move seems positive and love the exploring. I always imagine from American films that if you drive over 30mph theres going to be a cop on every street corner willing to give you a citation for speed.

I live in a beach town in Orange County, CA. Thank you for showing our beautiful county. I would like to give you some perspective about why the beaches are closed. About a month ago, when the beaches were opened, people crowded the beach. So while maybe 90% of the people would sensibly behave, it is always a few people that screw it up for the many. As a result the beaches have been closed most of the time since.
What an amazing video. Beautiful nature and beautiful cozy neighborhood and beautiful roads. My dream was to live where I live. We have a beautiful view and a nature reserve. Our house is near the valley just inside the security fence and every day I see Shepherd and every day feel like a dream. Stay safe and keep on posting 🙏

Everytime you hit 2and gear you took it to the top of the redline which sounded awsome. I have a Merc C230 that I bought and for a few days I had an unbelievable fun time driving but it started running rough and wouldn't pass emissions to get registered so it's been sitting for a year.

Reminds me of moving to South of France from London. From grey to sunshine and beaches. The long drives are so cool. Many a hire car thrashed around winding country roads with the Med glistening in the background.. Life is for exploring different environments, rather than living through a mortgaged house in London.
