I never got to build a VW deck when master duel first came out and it was super dominant, but I always liked the art and the play style.. fuck it, I'm gonna give it a go. Thanks for the advice and decklist dude, I have exactly enough dust to craft this minus the upstart goblins
i might suggest you play scythe and snow instead of the pots, also if you have it play the adventure engine. this deck is so much better wuth it, especially being able to have easy access to baronne,
I’m still learning how to play that build. It isn’t too bad as you have access to different synchros in your tool box. I am sure there’s a much better 2.0 version for VW but it’s yet to surface. A lot of the meta decks aren’t pure of one archetype. They have a splash of another like Branded/Despia, Tri Brigade/Birb,…
This isn’t a heavy combo deck at all. You just need to know the effect of each VW card. They all special summon from hand except for 2 VW monsters. They all dump a VW card from deck to GY, except for 2 of them. 1 is a searcher, 1 recovers, 1 special summons a VW monster from GY and the other is a foolish burial. 1 VW spell searches and plays a VW spell/trap on board from deck. 1 spell is a monster negate on board and searcher in the GY. 1 of the traps is a destroyer on board and in GY it changes VW monsters level by -3/+3. The other trap changes battle positions and a monster reborn in the GY. The 2 VW monsters that don’t special from the hand. They special from the graveyard if their condition is triggered. Key note those 2 VW monsters if summoned from the grave they become tuners. A lot of new VW players forget and scratch their head as to why they can’t synchro summon and only XYZS. It’s happened to me a couple of times. Everyone has a different play style so not all VW builds are the same.

Just remember to end up on shenshen plus trap card live and you win most games.
