    Lovely boat - I feel that the "intriguing" service/storage area under the helm seat is there at the expense of a dedicated shower which is the only thing missing from this fine boat, especially as the engine room looked like it had space to take the items that were in the "service" area. As always great video Nick!

    • @morri03
      @morri03 Před 3 lety +3

      Agreed the lack of a shower stall one of the few negatives of this boat although hard to get in such a small one. There isn’t really much food prep space either. I quite like them all the same but I’d go for a single D6 rather than twins. In the end though I wouldn’t have one in a marina berth. Prefer a shaft if you are going to be in the water all the time. So Nimbus, Marex etc..

    • @petterip
      @petterip Před 3 lety +3

      I mean I suppose you could fit a dedicated shower for hobbits in there. But in reality, it's a 33 foot boat and you'd have to relocate all that stuff to somewhere else which is simply not possible.

    • @etc-and-more
      @etc-and-more Před 3 lety +1

      Can't really dedicate that space to a shower since a lot of people would want this boat with air conditioning and a generator. I can see most of the air conditioning fitting in the storage area and a generator back by the engines. If you used that space for a shower things would get extremely tight in the engine room. Wet head isn't bad once you get used to the compromise and wet heads are standard issue for boats of this size and model year.

      @@FlexibleToast yes, Joe. A lot does seem nice, but like I said, the shower is brutal, both to use, and also for the mess. That little storage area, albeit helpful, sacrificed a proper shower. Also, the cabinets in both the kitchen and bedrooms seem quite cheap. Other things also, but no need to pick. I have a budget of $220,000, give or take, and will search for another year to find the right value, coupled with a great cool factor. Love being on the water.

That's just brilliant and something seems kind of magical and posh about standing on the back of a boat operating the controls by feel. Great value boat, well appointed & a surprising amount of room for a 33’ vessel. I like the styling especially with the copper-coloured hull which looks superb! Big-boat feel in a small package, excellent! 👍🏻

    Lovely boat, I do like these enclosed cockpit designs. The rear doors when open completely block deck access on the port side, which seems a limitation - wouldn't see that on a Princess. I do enjoy the thoroughness of your videos, I feel like I've been there myself!

    • @rumanuu
      @rumanuu Před 3 lety +3

      Yeah I noticed the door as well. I suppose it opens up the lounge to the outside though, the only other option would be a slider that blocks half the opening.

    • @smokeymotorsport
      @smokeymotorsport Před 3 lety +3

      @@rumanuu I imagine when the doors are closed you can easily pass through the door and access that side, but if you had the doors open and someone was drifting towards your port side "anchor first", you have a sprint round the starboard side ahead of you! In normal use I guess the wider starboard side and side helm access (another well placed spring cleat for single-crewing) works perfectly for starboard side to

      yes, but its the super narrow side of the deck. Why would you carry a drink up the narrow side?

    • @constantineding8700
      @constantineding8700 Před 3 lety +4

      When the size of boat is relatively small, you have to give and take on some places. To me it's no big deal to give a simple fling to the door before going on the deck.

    • @smokeymotorsport
      @smokeymotorsport Před 3 lety +3

      @@constantineding8700 I think it might need the whole concertina door sliding out of the way, which isn't necessarily quick and easy in what will always be an "oh bother" hurried moment, but you're absolutely right - this is a 40 foot boat that's somehow shoehorned into 33 feet, so the features it has are incredible.

    Very nice little boat, adequate for a pleasant weekend. My thing with smaller boats has to be the very limited range, I mean, where can you go without constantly worrying about fuel.
    Looks like I'll stick with my Nordhavn 120.

    This is a really nice sized and spect boat but I can’t help but think the D3 220’s are to small. A pair of D4 260’s or 300’s would be the better choice and add the extra fuel tank for better range
