- Hi, this in depth video shows you how to connect a variety of controllers to the Nintendo Wii. I show old controllers like the NES, N64 but also new ones like the PS4, Xbox One S and the Switch Joy-Con. Any game that can work with the Classic controller can be used (inc. all the virtual console games).
The time stamps are below so you can go straight to the controller that you are interested in:
1:22 - NES controller.
2:47 - SNES controller.
3:45 - N64 controller.
6:05 - GameCube controller.
7:18 - 8Bitdo Retro Receiver.
10:54 - Wii U, Switch Pro, Ps4, PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox Elite
19:37 - PS1 & PS2 controllers.
21:32 - Keyboard & Mouse.
23:46 - F500 Arcade Stick.
24:47 - Switch Joy-Con.
26:10 - PS Move Navigation.
26:58 - U-Force
Many thanks Vince. - Jak na to + styl
These videos are really helpful, no annoying music in the background either, witch really helps in the focus regard. Good job mate :)
Lol mate
Why say mate
@LE64 you mean "which"?
I guess Im randomly asking but does anybody know of a trick to log back into an instagram account..?
I was dumb lost my password. I appreciate any tricks you can offer me
@Wilson Messiah instablaster :)
Imagine a competitive MKWii player using the U-Force
😭😭
I'm using Tilt Controls with the U-Force!
Vince: Different controllers on the Wii
Vince:GameCube Controller
Me: ...
Who would've thought
duh 😂😂
lol
There are some games that support classic controller but not Gamecube, so it's not entirely useless.
Loved how you showed the NES controller, I just use an NES Classic controller, and it works great!
Just got a Wii and I honestly love this video and how instructive it is, thank you tons!
Always wondered for years if there was a way to use 3rd party fightsticks for the system and this helped a huge ton. Very much appreciated 🙏
5 years, and still your tutorial still rulez compared to others, kudos mate 👍.
Did it work for you?
And if it did, can you use multiple controller at a time or do you have to buy one for every controller you want to connect?
@@videoscensuree8096 actually you have to buy 1 brook converter and 1 magic NS converter for each controller you want to connect to the wii 😁. And as the video suggests, you don't have to plug the brook converter to the wii, just use 2 usb slots to power 2 brook converters that both of them will connect to the wii and 2 magic NS converter if you want to use 2 gamepads 😁. I know, it's expensive, but the variety of controllers we can use is astonishing, hope that helps buddy.
@@m.i.smithology thank you so much for your time and explanation.
Do you know where to buy the Brook Converter tho? I can't seem to find it myself. Also does any May Flash Wireless adapter work like the Magic-NS Lite for example?
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
this is so helpful! I didn’t know any of this 😂 appreciated it
The fact he showed so many Controllers and Also Mouse and Keyboard ur so underrated Keep it up Vince!
This video is really helpful. Thank you for making it mate
This man nearly has control of the universe!
The U-Force... Ahh Nintendo always innovating on their movement controls. Amazing
The U-Force was not made by Nintendo
EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE OF MY MATE VINCE, KUDOS
Hey Vince! Another great video mate. I never knew I could use my DS4/DS3 controller on my Wii! Well I didn't know you could use so many lol. I think I'll get game on the HDD and try it out with some of my favourite old games :)
Or Classic Nintendo Mini Controller on Wii Alright It's Work
Man it would be an insane challenge to play CUPHEAD with the U-FORCE . Brutal and sick outstanding video !
Vince you absolute madman.

My mate Vince!
You never fail to amaze me with your findings 😄
This is what I needed.
i just homebrewed my wii again and i really wanna use my 8bitdo sn30 pro so right on for the video!
Hello,
I have been trying to do so, where you able to do this?
26:04
*sss..*
*”right ok, you get the idea, now let’s move on.”*
I really like the PS4 Controller it's so cool 👍
i have the wii and this will help me out big time.
Every time you start a sentence with "Right, so..." that makes me think of the 11th Doctor from Doctor Who.
He is my favourite Doctor so I take that as a compliment :-)
Always thought he was the ninth doctor
@@Mymatevince he is definitely the best doctor.
@@Mymatevince Does this work on the Wii U as well?
@@Mymatevince but do you wave your hands while you talk?

in terms of a lack of rumble in games with the controllers acting as classic controllers, it's really the developers fault.
they intentionally disable rumble whenever a classic controller is attached to a Wii mote, which is odd, as the original classic controller could have a wii mote attached to it in order to work with rumble, the reason for this is due to the Wii mote classic controller attachment not coming out, so if you want rumble you'll have to find a way to make the controllers work as Gamecube controllers.
Wow, that's cool. I used SNES Classic Edition controller to the wii just to play Super Mario All-Stars.
It's kind of like using a PC emulator (like Dolphin). Great job by the way ;)
Man ... what a cool video ... it was my dream to be able to play with a ps4 controller on Wii, especially Call of Duty MW3. I will need these 2 adapters. But already taking the opportunity, you could make one of these videos on the issue of the Wii Headset ... which would be compatible mainly on the issue of chat microphone in MW3. Thank you!
I love these types of videos!
Thanks :-)
Before I buy these items, are there any updates for using a ps4 controller on a wii? Maybe 1 dongle for everything.
Would have been nice if you provided a link to these adapters.
I would’ve liked the 8bitdo wii classic controller adapter
27:36 Vince: So with the U-Force we don't specifically press any buttons, we just hover our hands over the censors
27:54 Vince: *Presses the START Button*
Oh, so for connecting a KB+M combo I will need to spend like... 100 bucks.
Yeah, I better buy a classic controller and DIY it.
Hi, would the Brook Super Controller Classic work with any USB controller? For example, I'm looking to plug my USB Sega Genesis controller directly into the converter on my Wii. Can't seem to find an answer anywhere
NICE Vid
wow seeing just how many controllers can be compatible for the Wii is awesome. This puts the Atari 2600 conpatibility to shame and that is saying something. I might try this out for myself.
Virtual console is evolving
I looked up on Amazon for the magic ns to use my ps3 controller on the wii, but I found the magic-s pro. It said that it converts the signal from almost any controller to ps3/ps4/PC so it works just like the magic-ns (I think?). But since I'm going to use it with a dualshock 3 do I really need that? I mean, the other adapter says specifically "from ps3/ps4 to Wii u" so I think I only need that right?
Do you know if this combo of Cronus Max + Mayflash works for Xbox 360 / Xbox One? I really want to use an N64 controller to play the N64 classics there but I'm running into many roadblocks. Brook alone didn't work when I tried with the Switch N64 and Mayflash adapter, Cronus Zen doesn't recognise the Mayflash adapter nor the Switch N64 controller.
Super cool, by the way it look like a tail, the wii look like a Pokemon!!!!!
I Love This Game
If 8bitdo launch a firmware update or a new version of the retro receiver for the Wii I would but it instantly
I'm am smart to that's why i watch your videos
Great vid and very informative. Will definitively be doing some of these. I just wish you had links to buy some of these adapters.
I completely agree. I tried looking on Amazon and I think I found the Wii U PS adapter but it would be nice to get official links so I know I'm getting what is in the video
14:12 The rumble doesn't work because the Wii remote doesn't vibrate when you use a classic controller in Mario Kart Wii. It works in the system menus because the Wii remote always vibrates in those menus even if the classic controller is connected. This is assuming that the Wii thinks a Wii remote with a classic controller attached is connected to the system.
Thanks for the information :-)
kevin0carl True
I like it
i have the classic pro controller i connected it to the wii pad but it doesnt let me play mario kart 64
@Gent Gashi with that remote can I just sync and play?
Mario all stars is sooo nostalgia😊
When it comes to using the brook adapter and magic nes... can you connect multiple controllers at once? I am wanting to with multiple people with paired joycons
20:48 listen closely and THE Wii is flipping out
@Matz Playz
Smash bros brawl is a dual layer DVD makes laser work harder a bit.

i liked this video
I have all of those controllers, with the exception of the SNES pad. Yes, including the U-Force and a green N64 controller.
thank you a lot ( i connect ps4 to wii)
That's illegal
@@amia5440 no it's not
The GameCube controller has its own
He's the Bob Ross of tech
WHERE DID YOU GET A COPY OF THE DOCTOR WHO WII GAME? I CANT FIND THEM ANYWHERE IN AUSTRALIA
also, i like your GPD pocket
hello, is there an adapter to connect the ps4 controller and NSwitch pro to the nintendo gamecube console port?
excellent video, I like 8bitdo Retro Receiver
Do you need Magic NS and the Super Converter to use a PS4 controller on wii? Or can i just use magic NS? Dont know if that wild cause any interference from your recommendations. Thank you again 🙏.
when you just dont wanna get a classic controller for da wii
This would also allow you to use the Wii U pro controller while in vWii on Wii U, in theory.
Using the “8BitDo retro receiver” (Bluetooth) - You can get the SN30 Pro Bluetooth game pad (8BitDo)
I’m only guessing this works as it looks like the SNES control with 2x thumb joysticks 🤞🏻
Can you use this combination of adaptes to play Wii games on they Wii U with they Wii U pro controller or the PS4 controller????
Hello, how are you? One question, when you connect the super converters in the Usb2 Wii, the Magic-NS is very necessary for the PS4 Controller, and use it as a Wiiclassic pro controller? Still, thanks for the contribution and waiting for your answer, take my like and my subscription.
I’m glad you can connect a mayflash f500 but can you do it with the f100 or the f300 please respond
Cool vid I already subbed. One question though what moniter are you using?
Is it just the hdmi signal to his screen or is there a lot of delay in the adapters?
This is phenomenal sir. You deserve this subscription! If you can help me with the NES classic controller question I'd really appreciate it. But now I'm buying a bunch of controllers lol
IT'S SIMPLE JUST PLUG IT AT THE BOTTOM OF THE WII REMOTE SAME WITH THE SNES CLASSIC CONTROLLER
Now I wanna see a ColecoVision controller work with the Wii. Best of all, play, and win, Dark Souls using the U-Force.
What's the latency like for the Xbox remotes?
Are you able to change the button mapping of the switch controller.
So I got the Wii U pro controller and Magic NS adapter to work with the brooks converter, however, the controller is vibrating infinitely. Any way to turn that off?
Hello Vince, could you show how to sync the Brook adapter with the Xbox controller?
Omg that's a lot of controllers you have
Hey, do you know any possibility to use a ps4 controller instead of a wii remote?
Some Games like Twilight Princess only uses wii remote.
Thx!
hey my mate vince Got a quick question here can you use this on the wii u
Can you reconfigure the controls for the ps4 any way you like? Or can you only use that one setup?
If you want two wii U controllers for the wii do you need double adapters then?
Did you get that ps2 converter from amazon
does it work when you using the titan one on the wii and using the Magic NS adapter. because this Super Brook PS3/PS4 to Wii converter seems very impossible to find it. i coulnd‘t find it that is available. have you tried out with the titan one or titan two by plugging the Wii?.
Do you have to have a Game cube controller adapter to use your Game cube controller if your Wii is not compatible with game cube games? Because mine isn't.
This video is in his retro gaming playlist. Now I feel old
For Switch controller, can I just use the Magic NS adapter instead of both?
I’ve got my Brook Converter and Magic NS adapter, and got the classic edition firmware on the brook, and the latest ver of Magic NS. When I tried this with my Xbox One S controller, it synced up, but when I moved my Joystick, nothing happened. (my Brook adapter is SW to X360/XB1 but updated it to Wii U X360/XB1 Classic Edition)
I had the exact same problem . Any solutions ?
I do not know why but i keep watching you even though i only have a ps2, and i hate ps2.
Cool
Could you do video of setting up the xbox one 2 gen Controller to snes classic please
Can you use multiple different controllers at the same time? Like a ps4 controller and a ps3 or a ps4 and a Wii U pro controller?
Do you have a video for the Wii U & Chromebook? (Especially for the JoyCon's)
Hey My Mate Vince. Thank you for this video. really awesome. Never knew we can do this. I am trying to save my wii and be able to use my xbox one controller to play gamecube games wireless like the wave bird controller. These are now very expensive so I want to use what I have. I had a question and hope you can answer. I don't know which Brook usb to buy. There are so many models. Can you help?
I believe Gamecube games only work with controllers through the Gamecube ports. So his ps2/1 example would work for you and wireless ps2 controllers are cheaper I believe, but also better all around 😉
I can’t find that specific brook converter on Amazon or eBay. Will any of the other variations work?
I waited too long too. Can't find them anywhere...
Get a retro reciever from 8bitdo, and plug it into the wii mote and pair something your bluetooth controller to that.
For the wii U pro controller, can you use just use the 8bitdo adapter 2?
Kool video, that brook adapter for Xbox to wii is sold out or not available ugh.
Yup
in ps3 and ps4 controller, support 1 control or more in same time?
hey where do you get the two things you connect to the wii for the Xbox control
How are you, buddy? Does the 8bitdo adapter work with the emulators on the homebrew channel?
Would it be possible to pair an SFC30 controller via the 8bitdo retro receiver plugged into the bottom of the Wiimote?
Vince, finally you don’t choose Mushroom/Shell Cup for Mario kart 8. Hell you even used GameCube and Wii games instead of Mario kart 8. Great vid btw
