That voice actor is in every AC game except the first one. His best performance in my opinion was Cesare Borgia in AC Brotherhood.

I read somewhere (please don't ask me where, I can't remember for the life of me) that they tried to do so. If they couldn't they tried to get VA's that had greek relatives. It's so awesome!

LOL don't worry. I'm not the "hey where's your source?" type. Besides, I read something similar when AC Liberty came out. This game series has had some of the most dedicated and underrated staffs out there.
@@theflamingfreezer8478 they usually sound so cheesy. Over the top and campy to all hell ruining serious and dramatic moments in anime and japanese games because of it. Strange Journey 3DS is a good example of this, its JP VAs are so annoying

I don’t understand everyone’s problem with Alexios’ voice actor. His voice acting was phenomenal. So was Kassandra’s.

Alexios's voice actor is greek and many other voice actors are greeks in this game

The problem is lip sync, not the voice acting, they did a great job finding authentic Greek voice actors!
It’s pretty amazing how they made Alexios and Kassandra look pretty similar to their voice actors.

Yes and weirdly enough the game has no Greek dub despite that.
@@jilha1122 For AC unity they tried to make it more appealing for the general player, so the gave everyone the BRP accent (an accent made for British broadcasting but not used by people who aren't in front of a microphone or camera), which was on of the major criticisms of the game, despite Ubisoft being French, and access to a large cast of french actors

Not gonna lie, but I'm obsessed with this game. They did an excellent job with the voice cast. Melissanthi, Alexandra, and Marianthi are drop-dead gorgeous.

I love Myrinne's voice actress! Her voice is so deep and pleasure to ears! Hippokrates also sounds so unique I love that accent.

Kraschman1111 Well, I think that’s because the voice actor usually does the motion capture too. And I think the in game character needs to resemble the motion capture actor as it records facial muscles too. Im not 100% but that would be my guess

I don't think Ubisoft is really listening all that much.
As a Greek, I'm satisfied that I managed to catch on to the Greeks (as in born and raised in Greece) actors compared to those of Greek origin. Yeee, you can't overlook that thick, crabby accent. Also, Alexios voice acting was really good - ESPECIALLY in the scene where he tries to find Neema and his kid. I dunno what the fuss was about.

Nikolaos is basically Leonidas In Alexious and Kassandra’s time.
I love the Kassandra character and her voice actress and after 170 hrs. I'm still not tired of her character or story Odyssey is by far the best in this series.

Thaletas and Phoibe are #1 for me in this game because of their voices, they are very unique, then goes Elias (Nikolaos/Leonidas) and Andreas (Barnabas)

Ubisoft probly can't afford Gerard Butler. He is too big of a star to CG motion pictures. They casted Elias Toufixes which is another amazing actor who has the iconic voice of Adam Jensen from Deus Ex

saganist story wise it doesn’t compare to earlier ezio games, but overall it is the best AC game.
@@obabas80 its a kinda different game play but for me is the best so far.ezio games was all the same and kinda boring.i never finished anyone of the them.
the only assassin game that i reached to the end is the odyssey.ok iam greek and maybe that was attractive to do so :P
@@xdx2653 yes, the gameplay was much better in odyssey than in the earlier, but still I think the ezio games had a better story for me and I really cared about ezio the character and how he developed over three games.

Damn. I really like the voice cast director’s decision to use almost all individuals of Greek descent
the cast, the voice, the story, the gameplay combat, all superb! I even forgot that this is assassin's creed at all, the hoodie, the middle eastern cultures, the weirdos organization.... this is entirely a great different game. And yes, Kassandra is the first truly beautiful character 3rd person in comparison with all other female game leads.

My only regret is that throughout my odyssey, I was deeply attached to secondary characters... until I saw NPC with their faces.
The first time I saw that was with Chrisis: I hated so much this face for what she had done... and then I had to help a NPC with her face -.- ruining my experience
Is it just me or does it seem... odd... in the modern-day segments when Layla actually pronounces the Greek words somewhat decently, and doesn’t horribly butcher them like most Americans do?

IMO, Alexios voice sounds a bit leaning to the villian side for me so, he is a perfect Deimos for me. I've watched the video of Kassandra as Deimos she performed really good too. But Alexios's voice sounds a bit more serious and rough. (Or maybe just because I'm a Kassandra player and get used to it 🤣)

first people thought it was boring because it wasn't related to the plot of the series.Now its a game that has it's worth from the open world to the quests,the shanties,and etc.

If play that in a heart beat! As a Greek I’ve always felt Greece and Ireland had special affinities being their own respective “outliers” in their corners of Europe. So far apart, but similar spirits.
Ngl, i had no idea you play as Leonidas at yhe beginning. I always thought it was Nikolas. Now I'm sure it's because they have the same voice.
Michael Antonakos's voice is perfect, he has the skills for voice actor for games. But once you chose to play with one, it's hard to try again with the other. I have 1157 hours of gameplay, I have played with Alexios just once, and I didn't finish.
Kassandra is perfect, and she is the crush of the year 2018. Melissanthi Mahut is a formidable actress.
