    I’m a patient of BRVO - Macula Oedema being treated with Ozurdex injections. I have had 2Avastin, 1 Lucentis 7 Ozurdex. What can you recommend further treatment please? Christopher Dias

      @pranesh  Před 10 měsíci

      Am afraid we don’t have any better injections atleast in Sri Lanka/ India. Ther will be a time when edema becomes chronic and gets resistant to rx.
      But if the retina specialist feels they can give you more injections, pls ask for eyelea- currently the best Anti-VEGF rx.

    my husband has been recently diagnosed with BRVO (age 38 years) and was given one Accentrix injection recently. How long does it usually take at this age to recover from BRVO? Please reply.

    • @pranesh
      @pranesh  Před 9 měsíci

      It takes a month to respond to the injection - but depending upon the response, more than 1 injection might be needed.
      Given the younger age, it is important to look into systemic diseases - hypertension, high cholesterol etc.

      Pls don’t worry. I am not sure how bad RVO has affected his eyes. But it’s usually well treated with modern injections. Pls consult a retina specialist.
