    First time here. I found my way here from a commenter in a Facebook ad for a vertigo group.
    I obviously have a lot of videos to watch but before I go do that I want to say, Jarred could be telling my story almost verbatim. He's a young high school guy and I'm a bit over 64 but the similarities of stressors and personality type is uncanny despite the huge age difference
    I'm excited, and hopeful, as I head on over to catch up on videos and with realistic expectations hope I can stitch together another aspect of my baffling health issues. What began as a child with gastric issues and mild allergies has become reflux/GERD, frequent sinus infections, episodic heavy upper respiratory congestion, fatigue, tinnitus, constant light headedness/dizziness, and the most recent addition of vertigo in February of '22.
    I digress. Thank you and I'll see you all around after I catch up.

      Gregory, welcome to the club you never wanted to be part of 😂! But yes, you are certainly not alone and I am so glad to be the bearer of good news about all this. Barring medical issues (that I am sure you have ruled out), you can indeed recover from these physical symptoms.

    Thank you so much for sharing all of this. I had vertigo in January, diagnosed with vestibular neuritis, and now PPPD. Since finding your videos I've really learned so much and am starting to see real progress. I feel like I finally have control, maybe not fully yet, but there's real hope these symptoms will end. These stories are important and really make a difference so thank you all for sharing!

    Sherri- my dizziness started at the exact same time yours did while teaching hybrid middle school Spanish. No one will ever understand how hard it was to plan for and manage a group of students at home and a group of students in the classroom, while trying to put on a happy face under the mask and keep everybody safe from a disease, unless they’ve done it. I cried listening to your story just remembering how traumatic the experience was. Just a note- my dizziness started BEFORE getting Covid or a vaccine

    New follower here. Thank you for your videos and these encouraging stories! In general, do people seem to make a faster and more full recovery when they receive treatment early? I’ve had what I believe is VM and/or PPPD for the past two months and I’m working on treating it now but am also terrified from all the stories of people having these symptoms for years.

    • @TheSteadyCoach
      @TheSteadyCoach  Před 2 lety +1

      I have worked with people who’ve had it for 2 weeks and people who’ve had it for 25+ years. Everyone can get better. What matter more than the length of time are how much insight has into one’s own drivers behind the dizziness, a person’s own sense of agency, any trauma history and the person’s current social support.

    Thanks for these encouraging stories Dr. Yo. Is it possible to fully heal from vestibular migraine or is it basically symptom management? Thank you!

    • @TheSteadyCoach
      @TheSteadyCoach  Před 2 lety +2

      In my view, full recovery. I’d highly recommend checking out some of the books I recommend in the course and resource sheets- they talk very specifically about migraines and how recovery is possible. Dr. Schubiner and Alan Gordon’s books in particular. Does that mean you’ll never have a headache again? No, but it’s normal to have a headache or feel off every once in a while.

    believe I have pppd caused from vm. So I had covid this year symptoms all began. VNG test showed 33percent damage two months later got another one they say they saw nothing which I thought was weird because therapist had always told me the existing damage should always appear just looking for more
    I had horrible migraines for two months. Do t get them much anymore. I for sure think I have pppd. Been 7 months total maybe two months with pppd.
    Eyes for sure are off feels like they skip in the sun everything is much worse balance. Head pressure. Sway. And just feel off. Boating sensation is gone. Don’t wear a hat or glasses anymore. Laying down ok. I always have that fuzz in the head but noticing it’s fading. Hope these are good songs. Bobble head the worst.
    Will get better that I know. Takes time. Everyone is different
    Thanks
