Hi Dr Yo! Such a great video, I love how much going back to basics sometimes is so helpful. I still get the occasional symptoms, during tiredness or times of worry/stress but these do pass. It really does get better when you turn the fear down and accept that you’re really ok. It’s a journey to get to this point though. Thanks Dr Yo!

Hi! Dr. Sharon and Dr. Yonit! I finally have the courage to begin some of the strength training. I live in a place that does not have any equipment; therefore, I am having to use my body weight which is about 126lbs. I will also get some water bottles to use as weights eventually. My question is what modifications can I do in place of the lap pulldown and bumbell benchpress without the bench? Thank you for your help and support! I have always feared adding weights because I have injured my body with them; however, I am willing to slowly add them in especially since y'all are saying they help with ncd💪🏼

Has anyone reached a point where symptoms go away and suddenly you don’t know what to do? It’s like when the symptoms go away there’s anxiety because there is “supposed” to be something wrong with me. Once my body doesn’t have sensations it’s like my brain doesn’t know how to experience feeling normal again.

I started to say Oh well there is the symptom...instead of Omg I am gonna pass out and die! I also said okay you pass out but you probably will not die. I did this over and over. Told myself it is what it is. I had way too much fear and fight or flight over this. It is beacause I am a single parent. I felt nobody but me to take care of my child....then I started to tell others around me my story more in a simple way. I also accepted help from a kind neighbor. If you have no support or help and if friends or family do not understand tell them to watch the steady coach. My neighbor took me seriously. She said we will figure this out. She offered to drive me to a doctor appt as I could not drive far. She took my hand and walked me into appts. Reach out. Keep going. I am alive still and it has been 3 years of this. Love these videos and finding them very helpful. I am a bit concerned about the casual mention of Ativan as something that can help. It is a highly addictive drug that causes a lot of chronic symptoms and 'unexplained' illness in its own right. It suppresses the vestibular system and can lead to further nervous system dysregulation and is too often improperly prescribed for too long a period. This is a huge factor that actually led to my own illness because I was left on it way too long, went into tolerance withdrawal and my nervous system became extremely dysregulated and hypersensitive and no one in the medical community recognized what was happening. I began to improve only once I was off of it, which was a horrible process. It sounds like she used it very infrequently and short term, which is what you must do, but not all doctors know this, believe me. Just wouldn't want someone to watch this and go to their doctor wanting to try it without understanding the risks. It can really take you from the frying pan to the fire if you're not careful. Otherwise, I really relate to her symptoms and it's really helpful to see someone who has recovered fully. I healed greatly by first getting OFF of Ativan, then even more using mindfulness, meditation, yoga and walking. Now using emtional work, journalling, exposure and therapy to get the rest of the way there. Been a long journey but I feel very hopeful because of others who have gotten through it. Thank you!

@@TheSteadyCoach Thank you for your reply! I have been diagnosed with superior canal dehiscence and also jugular bulb dehiscence alongside PPPD. The otologist is not sure which is causing what symptoms as there is an overlap. I suspect it's probably a bit of all 3. All balance tests were normal so trying to work out what to do next. The surgery seems extreme especially if the 'intoxicated' feeling I experience is potentially a 'software' problem (I have other symptoms too but this one is high of the list of being problematic on a daily basis). Is it worth trying to address a potential neural circuit issue whilst a 'hardware' problem continues to exist? I do fit some of the symptoms you mentioned but not all.

I appreciated Dr Ys comment that this is our brain Making a mistake! Just the software Not the computer! No brain damage at all. Seeing danger where there is None.
