Agree with Synderyn's take on Jenkins - Grubby. Doing it for a year is a bit too much.
Aleksib being the first Finn to win a major was huge. Finnish cs scene is really big and there has been so much talent that has made it big but never big enough. Super happy to see Aleksi not only make it but make it this damn well!
Very nice new setup. I do have a request if possible for audio listeners. Could you upload the video version to Spotify podcasts too? (don't know of others platforms that support this) I know Linus Tech Tips does it for the WAN show. I don't listen it on CZcams since not having a premium account here means I can't listen on my phone while it's locked. Having the VOD in Spotify makes it easy to jump in whenever something is happening on screen. Great work as always!
when reviewing quinn vs 5 herald does the clip actually cut off at the bottom? 3 bottom items + backpack is missing. is it because the new set up? i think this one could be improved, other than that really nice new set up

As an archon I am 95% certain 5 of us would whoop Quinn's ass in a 1v5. The Herald's problem was that they didn't understand to push. Just pick Viper Jakiro Shaman Druid NP and I think even Heralds might beat him if someone took 5 mins to explain the strategy.
also bristle is weak in early levels. They didn’t pressure him hard enough in lane and then it was too late

Even that is weak. 5 heroes should not fear 1. Shut that motherfucker down. Doom, Bane so he can't do shit. And Terrorblade+Necro combo as a special "FUCK YOU". Even heralds can execute this. It doesn't matter if they can farm, or they feed early. Eventually it is too much control.
Personally, I don't care about your visuals. I always listen to your show while playing a game on another screen. I just love your voices and personalities and interaction.I don't even play Dota anymore. I just keep listening because I love you guys so much.
The economy changes don't even need to be extreme, reduce m4a4 to the same price as m4a1, reduce incen price to the molly, defuse kit $200. That alone is already a step in the right direction.

I would love to hear y'alls thoughts on the PGL Closed Qualifiers community cast coverage. Traditionally closed qualifiers are given a production, but for PGL Wallachia it was given to community members to self produce. As one of the casters selected, I have mixed feelings about the experience

swiss stage is much better than the normal group stage in my opinion, cuts out alot of the pointless games that happen at the end of group stages, that dont matter cause some teams are already going home....swiss stage feels like every match matters more

I was surprised that CS2 finals were BO3 and it was the only match that started at 20.

I feel like Helldivers nicked a lot of these good ideas from Warframe. It's much more polished, for sure, but Warframe devs introduced so many innovative concepts in terms of game design, almost the Dota 2 level of innovations.
I've equated it closer to Deep Rock Galactic in terms of gameplay loop. There's way more grinding and randomness in the loot to Warframe.
If I was talking to someone thinking it was someone else for a YEAR I would be incredibly upset. Like that is kinda fucked up. But it maybe depends on the type of conversation. That being said my brain is yet to figure out how to discern pranking from bullying.
I think I like Synd's take, the idea is hilarious but FOR A YEAR is ridiculous.
Once you commit for a certain amount of time it becomes increasingly difficult to back out of some things. I'm presuming there was an element of that here.
I can definitely see a mild sort of humor to the prank, but also it says a lot about how people like Jenkins operate.
Its fair if others find this to be an exaggeration, but any sort of unnecessary deceptiveness for so long, even for the purposes of a "prank", indicates an unhealthy mindset to me that could be very indicative of someone doing other less appropriate deceptive things. For example, there are multiple stories in esports in the last 6 months about grown men pretending to be underage and then communicating with other underage people via discord, to predictable ends.
Of course, I'm not accusing Jenkins of anything, but if you demonstrate an willingness to behave this way in one regard, it wouldn't surprise me if you behave like that in other times or venues, to potentially less morally neutral outcomes.

Helldivers 2 is honestly one of the best examples of a live service video game I have ever seen. The devs are taking note of what planets people like more (we have a dedicated holiday for Melevelon Creek now) and they have a dedicated game master directing the flow of enemy attacks and fronts so all of the events and sudden encounters are 100% intended thus creating a real time storyline. Genuinely some of the coolest and most creative interactions between dev and players in any game.
I think its pretty funny that jenkins troll bsj for a full year but he probably did lose some money from not collabing with grubby so idk if he go too far

No. Normal gold per minute. He became level 4 with enemy trilane level 2, got a triple kill, got a few more. Had bloodstone at something like 7 minutes, and snowballed the game before they got any breaks or anti regen online

Regarding Swiss style tournaments:
Yes, Dota has a lot of rock-paper-scissors matchups and with those it ends up on the luck factor. The real issue with Swiss in Dota though is that you only get to know your next opponent (and when you play the next game) very late after everything is done. In Dota, you don't just blanked prepare, you prepare for a specific opponent, which is tough if you find out who's your next opponent at midnight and play at noon the next day.

Jordan-less bulls still had a top 50 player of all time and solid role players, Cleveland had one of the worst teams ever.

Yeah no, s1mple is considered the GOAT for a reason, the guy is beyond insane. He hated (and probably still does) CS2 and had a lot of stuff going on in his life so decided to take a break. He will come back soon and the scene cannot wait.
