this podcast is the best thing that has happened to the pro scene from an audience perspective, I fucking love you cAp
For what audience are you talking about? 7k people?
@@tiagomota4734 could you be more toxic please? you already spent time posting, why not just be more toxic for no reason?
we say things fan here! nothing beats Sunsfan and Synderen
art-house quality thumbnail, true art
release the bonus gorgc content
True
NL in thumbnail is a good meme
Love the podcast guys, keep it up.
the self-kick sounds like some Larry David-esque idea to get out of an uncomfortable situation without losing face for quitting
Lmao true
I love the drafts the way they are tbh. Seeing it in real time is way better. Maybe a 3 minute summary segment going over key element of each teams draft and how they will need to execute the game in order to win would be good.
The best podcast in dota returns. I know what I'm listening to at work tomorrow
44:02 Giga last match for the airplane tickets goes hard ngl
Cap got that Lacoste haircut Frfr str8 bussin
Broccoli
56:13 HAHAHA quinn and insania facial expressions and laughing so wholesomeee
I appreciate everyone being pretty open and honest.
SVG one of the best guests
OG used to use puppey pauses too, when the enemy is on the lead, especially yuragi
Honestly didn't give this podcast a lot of chance but god damn it's so much fun
great stuff
As a long time consumer of anything and everything Dota2, this is absolutely fire content.
Can you ask Insania about vs. Wind and Rain with Ritsu in the TI8 qualifiers? I dont remember it specifically happening against Alliance, but man that team paused like every big move and it got so bad that even the commentators pointed it out iirc. After that the rules for pausing also got update iirc.
Boy oh boy Cap do you have some carolina reaper levels of spicy a topic to talk about for next time (Taiga).
getting skiter on would be absolutely hype
my favorite streamer ❤
That ending haha. NA Immortal Dota forsure has to be the worst about pausing right as everyone loads in. Quinn understands that pain. I do wish they gave us like 30 seconds extra in pub drafting before picks start so we can actually coordinate heroes before the 20 seconds per phase timer starts post bans. Like ive got 20 seconds to make sure everyone wants to actually play their position and see what heros will blend well enough on the off chance anyones listening.
Cool stories
The pauses feeling different is very much also a thing for spectators. Even in my own games I definitely play worse for at least the first like 20-30 seconds after a pause
Can you invite Kyle for one of these? Haven't seen the guy in such a long time. Would love to hear some Kyle hot takes again.
I remembered that Old G took an automatic loss last year in Division 2 because they had more than three substitutes. The event was unfortunate one of their members stood in for DreamLeague iirc. People got so mad and swore they would never watch DPC ever again. Yeah, DotA fans.
Cap is so right about the draft, no way more than 20% of viewers actually watch the draft as it happens
I think it depends on the stakes, at ti i bet the percentage is higher
@@MrMarkomaniai agree, i feel like the acerage dota player at this point in time kinda understands meta and ehat happens in thr draft so when you watch TI is a thing in itself but yeah when you watch some random tournament nobody gives a shyte
It would be interesting for a TO to make a tournament to try caps draft idea out. Draft happens 30 minutes prior to the content for that matchup starting. I also wonder how much of a difference that would be for teams to have that significant period of time to discuss how they want that game to play out. It would potentially be risky for the TO but they who knows it could actually lead to way better viewership etc.
1:15:00 go off insania
Maybe have Notail guest in your Podcast. Then ask him juicy TI8 and TI9 questions.
There's been so much done already on that, kinda rinse and repeat at this point with notail.
@@seeker530 interviews with Notail were not really that deep when it came to their mindset and strategies for TI8 and TI9. Also, digging deeper into the ownership of an esports team before winning TI.
@@sneakyninjatroll Also the guy is not coming back to competitive so he may be a lot more willing to discuss the actual dota from the perspective of a team trying to win
I assume this was recorded before the alleged Taiga match fixing news came out? (I’m only 10 mins in so far)
Goobers be goobin
good talk, fines for pauses is a great idea. too many pauses nowadays.
it seems insania lying about neta?? xd
Prefer draft the way it is now, i'd rather have honest takes from people, as if they were in the players stead.
W
the thumbnail is so xD
spirit top
Damn. Good thing Japan doesn't do Dota 2. I feel like a team of 5 Japanese would go on playing with each other for years not because they like playing together, but more like because nobody really wants to say anything whether there's a problem or they actually want to leave the team lol.
Cap, they have done that premade draft thing on league. And it has not been great.
There is more content with players and interview time, but really removes all the tension of draft when, in their case, they are in a comfortable place like a replay review room and have time to discuss.
It has happen that someone pulled a out of the ordinary pocket pick, an ace, and while the content was going the team practiced this match up in lane for 15minutes. So instead of getting meepoed or Quinn puck snipers by Nisha ( they would have time to see that coming), they would have found a way o be better prepared. Ki
Draft is done like normal. Game starts. Pause happens for the 15 min to produce the content and allow the broadcast to send to the game. Players aren't allowed to leave the game to practice. Simple solution to your problem.
This sort of thinking prevents progress. Preventing a change that would be beneficial to 95% of viewers and help grow Dota just because theres some 5% of scenarios where it's negative
@@CapCasts it is in fact a simple solution. I 100% agree that draft should be changed for viewership, and what you said looks like a simple and elegant solution. I am not againts change.
I may have worded it poorly, the point i wanted to make was that are things to consider that others did wrong but that dota can do better. ofc the blank moments between picks that have already been over discussed are bad for the broadcast.
Thank you for the content, been loving these.
@@SamSGLM thanks man, I appreciate it
"Missing footage about scummy orgs", FOMO
i would have clicked on this regardless of thumbnail because i know the show. but i still feel click baited by northernlions face .
neta is an israeli, of course he is direct :)
great podcast. can quin speak bit slower pls?
