Chris Jr is hilarious. My opinion has changed on him over the years and I’m a big fan now. He’s got one of the best chins in boxing and I think he beats Benn by simply taking the life out of him round by round then gets a late stoppage. Expect a fast start from Benn who will try to give it everything early on and soon realise he can’t exchange with Chris. Looking forward to this one despite already being confident of the winner.
I can’t see a world where a smaller man knocks eubank out.
Jr sucks. He's only fought two real fighters and he lost to both of them. All the rest are cans. Now he's gonna bully Benn who's way smaller than him. @BarryCarter Jr talked with so much confidence and sense and didn’t show signs of fear. Connor was rattled and heated in exchanges and I really sensed fear in his behaviour. It was tactical that Connor wore sunglasses in there. He was avoiding eye contact with Jr.

Eubank is 7 years older and barely achieved more than Conor in his career. Ibo title is worse than the WBA regular. Conor is past British title level now. Fighting opponents that are the same level as eubank been fighting but like I' said he is 7years younger. If Conor was the MW and Eubank was the WW people wouldn't be considering this a 50/50 fight. Eubank has no decent options which is why he took the fight. 2 fresh world level opponents he faced outclassed him. So now hes fighting domestic/European level fights. Conor has A few more levels to go through so theres plenty of options for him. And hes being paid well while he does it. Has every chance of becoming a ppv star in this country

Jr won this presser. On paper Connor can’t beat Jr, but if anyone has the hunger to defy the odds, then it is Connor. I just want to see this fight because I never in a million years would have believed it would happen. I like both boxers equally, but Jr is solid as a rock and the bigger fighter; we shouldn’t be surprised if Jr has his way. Good luck to them both.

Why would there be a rematch clause this is a freakshow fight at a catch weight. It's totally irrelevant to either of their actual careers which are at two different weights. Parker and Joyce is a meaningful fight that affects rankings and career progression etc so it makes sense to get a rematch clause

I think benn is just a smaller version of Liam Williams and the fight will play out in similar fashion eubank in control of the pace and landing first will be key. Conors good at getting in close with his hands which could be his best chance eubank needs space to work in there he can be smothered
Do you think that someone can win a pre match build up, if so how much effect does or can this make on the night. Sometimes I feel like winning the mind games prior to the fight is akin to winning the first round; however, we all know that winning the first round doesn’t mean that you will win the fight.
I think a lot of the time what is said pre fight is just sales pitch or selling tickets so to speak. Promotional obligations. The winning of pre fight mind games really isn't that much of a decider in who's winning the fight. You can be the most eloquent articulate talker but once it's time to fight fists and boxing iq in the fight take over.
You only hear cornermen talk during a fight not often the boxer. Training camps and pre existing injuries have more overall effect on a fight than pre conference verbal sparring battles.

Am I missing something cos I am hearing a lot of people already making excuses for Eubank losing cos of the weight.
The fight is 157lbs.
Eubank last fought in April: 160lbs
Benn: 146.5lbs
Benn going up 10 pounds while Eubank coming down 3, seems a little bonkers and an early excuse if needed, to say he will be at 60%.
Or am I missing something?
Eubank kills himself to make 160, getting 3 more pounds off when there is nothing left to come off will be incredibly hard
Benn may be able to scientifically boil himself down to 147 but he gets into the ring at 170, Hearn confirms it on his latest ifl interview. Making Chris drain down to 157 is unfair and unnecessary.
The real issue is the rehydration, not allowing him to rehydrate properly is very dangerous and is actually how people die in the ring. Again totally unnecessary when Benn enters the ring at 170. If the rehydration clause is below 175 then it's a disgrace
I'm not sure if that's a big deal by cutting 3 pounds but not being able to rehydrate normally is a dis average so its a level playing field if you ask me.
At the very top level, 3 lbs can affect you quite a bit. Just 10 percent difference in how you feel could mean a lost and beating
Yes your missing the important bit eubanks cant contractually fully rehydrate he has to be at a certain weight the morning of the fight allowing him only 12hrs to rehydrate without using introvinous bags. This should be illegal boxing dehydrated
