- The Castrol Power1 Ultimate engine oil series is the latest engine oil from Castrol. These are BS6 ready engine oils available in 5W-40, 10W-40 and 10W-50. This video is coming after using the Castrol power1 ultimate 5W-40 scooter engine oil. The Power1 ultimate was used in Honda Activa for 1000+km where the performance was observed under different riding conditions. Hai I am using Activa 5G I travel around 80km daily in both highway and village roads. Suggest me best engine oil which lasts for longer kms
and gives better performance, mileage, less heat decipation from engine. I already used motul 10w-30 but I didn't experience any difference from earlier Honda engine oil.

Today I put this engine oil in my BS6 Ntorq and rode 78 kms. These are my observations:
1. The throaty sound of the engine doesn't go away even after prolonged use.
2. Engine feels a lot smoother when doing over 80kmph on highway.
3. The oil temperature took quite some time to reach 3 bars. And even after it did, the temperature dropped to 2 bars whenever I stopped at signals.
4. I didn't calculate the fuel economy, but I can surely tell that the fuel consumption has been quite low. On TVS Skuuta oil, the fuel economy was decent on moderate use. But on highway speeds, it wasn't good at all. This oil though, is a different story.
All in all, I really liked today's experience. And wanted to thank your channel for recommending this oil. 👍

Thank You and learning from your experience I had same experience with the Access 124 BS4 running Castrol Power 1 Ultimate 5W40. Coming from Ecstar mineral oil, the change was magical. Although not recommended but with sparing usage and other factors the oil ended up in the scooter for about ~16 months and ~2000kms. Until 12 months there was no change in smoothness whether cold or hot but after 14 months and nearing ~1800kms I could feel some roughness and got it changed at the ~16 month interval to the same oil and the new oil restored the smoothness as expected.
Its an excellent oil at a good price point, The prices have now increased to a MRP of 555(over the 475 when I first bought it), for a 800ml can but still its well priced compared to the competition and what it delivers. Can find some good deals online too.
A 2500km/6month drain interval should be optimal with this oil.

I am very glad to say that, Motul 5100 10w30 has successfully crossed 5000 kms on my Platina H Gear.
Below are the current observations:
1. Engine: 0-1000 kms, engine was extra smooth. 1000-3500 kms, engine was smooth. 3500-4000 kms, engine was less smooth but still smoother than stock oil (Bajaj DTSI 10w30). Top up at 4000. 4000-now, smooth.
2. Gear shifts: Gear shifts are less smooth (but still smoother than the stock)
3. Fuel economy: Unchanged, still same as fresh (however, it is 5-6 kmpl less than the stock engine oil)
4. Top up: 200 ml (instead of 120~150 ml) top up was done at 4000 km. Reason: during winter, oil level decreases due to increase in oil density. So, it is better to full the oil level or even few ml extra.
During winter, I prefer long rides more, as cooling efficiency increases during winter season.

My bike was serviced (no oil change) just after my previous comment.
Below are the improvements:
1. Engine is now more refined
2. Gear Shifts Smoothness restored to extra smooth.
There was no such special procedure applied to my bike, only general maintenance was done.
Sparkplug clean & adjust
Break pads/shoe clean & adjust
Chain clean, lube & adjust
Air filter clean
All other area cleaned.
Engine head was opened and the mechanic did something (don't know exactly what was done).
@@sujaybiswas783 probably adjusted tappet clearance but i didn't know authorised service centers did that.
@@ashish00007 Thanks for the information. Yes, it was tappet adjustment. Not all authorized service centers do that. Some day, I told them to check tappet regardless of engine performance. May be after that, they are doing the same and I forgot about the tappet settings at that service. But after few days, I asked the same, they told me that they checked the tappet.

Go with recommended I'd say
Honest opinion after 1000s of km of usage. Using 10w40 engine oil on a 10w30 recommended engine does no harm if not only good to the engine and life. If your bike is new stick to 10w30 upto 10000km and then you may move to 10w40 as a conservative measure.

I used Castrol P1U in my ntorq, in first 500 kms performance was good, but there was performance drop after 700kms and at 1000km there was significant drop in power delivery and the engine oil was completely black.
I think U used Castrol p1u bike engine oil

I'm using mobil scooter 10w30 grade engine oil on my activa 125 the same grade as company suggests the performance of this engine oil is actually great for normal commuting on city roads and out on highway 70kmph is ideal for 125 cc scooter usually this engine oil comes in budget segment
Few months back I got to know about this Castrol power1 ultimate scooter engine oil so I decided to give it a try as this Oil priced around 470rs. For mobil engine oil the drain interval is 3000km So I decided to drain it in around 5000 km . Now when I am commenting there is only 32km left to complete 5000km on odo. is it safe to stretch a 5w40 grade oil till this range because there are no such major fall in performance or in smoothness or malfunction in engine whats your opinion on that ??

Please test the oil in Dominar 400. There are a lot of reviews available but the youtubers were sponsored which is why it's getting hard for me to believe in what they have to say about the oil. I want a honest review and you can definitely give one like till now.
True to its word ultimate this castrol oil is the ultimate of all synthetic oils...remarkable acceleration and crisp gear shifts...I would recommend this oil for all 125cc plus bikes iwith 10w40 grades.

I have used this engine oil on my “Vespa VXL150cc BS-3 at 43000 Km’s”. These were my observations:
1). After 2000 Km had noticed a drop in oil level and had to top up approx 150 ml.
2). Again checked at after another 2000 km and again had to top up approx 150 ml.
3) After completing 6 months and 5890 Km with this engine oil. The only difference is I had to top up engine oil which was not the case before.
4). Hence during the 49000 km’s service, had carried out an engine flush using 3m and during the oil drain noticed the oil to be very thin as compared to normal oil change in the past. But point to note is the strainer was found with lots of black deposit which was cleaned. And reverted back to (Vespa 150 online manuals) “Castrol Active 20W40” .
5). Just completed 1900 km’s, did an oil level check, found no drop in oil level.
Just wanted to post this experience.

@@shubhambelhekar629 as per the owner’s manual it says inspect oil level/top-up at 3000 kms and at 6000 kms replace the engine oil not more than 3 months on either inspection or replacement. But as a precaution check what your owners manual has mentioned in it. As variants and emissions may affect engine oils recommendations and inspection time intervals.

Bro is it good decision to use Castrol power 1 ultimate in 10 years old pulsar 220? I have been using liqui moly 10W50 with MOS2 oil additive in the bike. My pulsar runs smoothly and produces minimal noise.
I am using the castrol Magnatec SUV fully synthetic 5W-40 API SN for my Burgman before Castrol launched Power 1 ultimate and it's performing great since last 6 months. Price too is almost same for a one 1 lt pack.

Great performance, longer oil drain duration. Drained after 7 months & the oil was still good . Mileage is same as in Mumbai the traffic is intense & synthetic helps. In summer it would be better than the original recommend 10w 30.

Each bike has its comfort zone with some brands. Mostly I've noticed and experienced shell engine oils more suitable for Honda engines. As you said Motul 7100 is still one of the best for Suzuki engines as noticed by me and my friend using Suzuki bikes. Tvs and Suzuki engines tend to like similar engine oils. So you can definitely try Liqui Moly next time since #sportztourer favorite oil for his rtr200 is the same.

It has been 2days since im using this oil.
Pull power is not as good as I got with motul 7100 10w40.
But it's linear -it goes n goes n goes....
I must say heating issue was there with motul 7100 10w40 jaso ma2 oil.
Overall I'd say This power 1 ultimate is a perfect oil for scooters

Hi Spoertztourer, good stuff, thanks. Can you please test a new fully synth oil which has esters, called silboil 10w50 advanced 4T... its not expensive and made by a silvassa based company. Going by their ester claim (and api SN rating) it should be as good as motul 300v but testing will show where it stands. If its good, then it can be useful for all
