Even though I'm Italian-American. I never was much into my culture. Yeah as a boy going to the stores was okay enough to show interest for my family and relatives. But never went back to Arthur Ave ever since.

Always Ramono for your pasta. Romano is sheep’s milk, very salty and IMO way better than Parmesan! Try it sometime. The black cured olives my grandpa used to cure along with his dried sausage in the basement. They’re my favorite and have some in the fridge at all times! I love little Italy in the Bronx. Used to spend every other summer there with my cousins for 2 weeks. This reminds me of that. Thanks Sava and Joel❤️

There are actually 2 Little Italys- one in the Bronx and one in downtown Manhattan. We New Yorkers love good food and Little Italy definitely has some great stuff!

Arthur Avenue is the true Little Italy. You can't buy all these delicious foods and groceries downtown.

Agreed! It's so good but unfortunately, last time we went we realized Calandra's Cheese shut down! Any suggestions on other great cheese shops around there?

    • @jessegago7163

@@SavaSnacks That is so sad. Great shop. The only other cheese shop I frequent, is Casa Della Mozzarella. Excellent, but not the variety Calandra's had.
