    Pretty much exactly what I was thinking about. Glad to see it in reality to know it works. Great education. Thanks.

    Thank you, this video gave me the confidence to install a 2 tank tote system at my cabin with the Harbor Freight shallow well pump plus PEX plumbing entering the cabin in three spots.

    You are so creative, yet w/ sensible, usable, frugal, working methods to use on a homestead. Love your videos, because you explain WHY? you do what your projects practically call for. Very helpful. Many Thanks!

    Very nice set up! You went out of your way to show the average Joe how to run this system for about $500

    This will solve my issues. I have two totes . I have a hangar with no water. I’m gonna set this up so I can bring my good well water to the hangar. Thanks for a few great ideas. I wanna try to repurpose a hot tub pump for this mission.

    Cinder blocks are a poor choice. 8lbs per gallon x 275 gallons is 2200lbs sitting on metal pressure points, on the weak edge of the blocks. PROBABLY wont go anywhere, but wood cribbing would be much safer.
    Good water storage though.
    People in my area use these a lot for city water, due to how horrible the sulfer is in the well water.

    Why did you install a Check Valve on the Inlet Side, the instructions have it installed on the outlet side.

      I am not using it I. The traditional sense. As a shallow well pump it would be installed on the outlet side. I use the pump for both filling the tank from another tank AND as a pump for water source and I use ball valves to control the flow where I need it to go. Whether it be to fill the tank or in a traditional sense.

      @@harvesttimepreppers1404 Turns out, I had to install it on the inlet side to keep the pump from short cycling. It would regurgitate the water back into the source tank and keep cycling. Pump works great, but might want to try and connect 2 in parallel to get more flow. I think it's deceptive to have 1" inlets/outlets, but if you look at the connection to the the pressure tank, it might be a 5/8" connection! What a bunch of dweebs. Should be 1" throughout the system. It is driving about 2500 feet of 3/4 pvc irrigation piping and keeping it pressurized to around 40psi. I can run one zone at a time off of it.

    You must not have earthquakes in your area. Over here in New Zealand that tank wouldnt last long sitting on those blocks.

    will this pump keep my hot water tank full in my tiny home?

    • @harvesttimepreppers1404
      @harvesttimepreppers1404  Před 5 měsíci

      Yes. We used this same setup in a cabin to supply water from a tote including the hot water tank for showers and dishes.

    Hey what size was the check valve? was it from Amazon at 3/4 inch Midline Valve?

    First 2:10’seconds are repeating you need off supply water. That only needs to be said once. After 2mins of only that being said i am frustrated and giving up on the video :(
