  • In this video, we take a look at my off-grid water system. Using an IBC Tote as a water tank and an RV water pump we can easily supply on-demand water to multiple locations. If you need help finding the parts from the video, check out the links below.

    Well done video. I've got 2 ibc totes I draw from and fill my onboard tank in my rv. I'm going to try hooking the 2 tanks together and then using this pump into my city water feed. Thanks for the video!!

      @@desertcamel6685 I painted mine originally and that has worked. I also ended up purchasing some ibc covers from amazon after i painted them but if you put those on you can't tell how much water you have left. So painting was all I needed to do.

    I have an idea to basically double down on reducing the water tank to sunlight… hence the undesirable sequelae…. What ya think about painting the entire tank black??

    if you have power, is it solar? i may have missed it.. i thought you were off grid. great water situation.. we actually have the same pump, i use for my rain barrels to my camper.

  • @JEllis-lu7vd
    @JEllis-lu7vd Před měsícem

    Quick question, but if the fresh water tank is already full; can you still pump water into the camper via city water connection? I just tried hooking up the hose to the city water port on my camper and water began spraying everywhere as soon as the pump kicked on.
    For the record, I’m also using a seaflo water pump. It’s pretty much the exact same model but it doesn’t have the regular plug like OP’s model. Instead, it has the positive and negative wires that hook up to a battery.

  • @bugs825
    @bugs825 Před rokem +1

    Awesome explanation! I'm looking to install a standalone water system for our chicken coop and garden with a buried tank.
    My question is, do you have any experience with these pumps hooked up to a float type valve? I would need that to fill the chicken's water reservoir. I'm trying to not need to include float switches and control circuits if needed, just not sure how this pump will do with a slow draw like a float valve does and concerned about the pump switching on and off all the time. Also considering just adding a small pressure tank to help with this small draw.

      I don't use this system in the winter. The hoses would definitely freeze. In my old cabin we kept a 55 gallon water tank in the loft. This would benefit from the heat we used in the cabin to avoid freezing while still giving you "running" water.
