I love how your dogs always there to help out. My dog Goldie was always there in my videos when I was repairing things. Sadly she passed away last year, Now me and the fiancée have a little Dachshund named Ruby she like to be there when I'm fixing as well. Nice video!
Wow, good call. Both emphasise angles as "the future shape". These are a very good looking mower but trap debris under the cover and need to be cleaned out regularly or the engine will overheat. The models with a smaller engine cover that just screws on the engine but has the same chassis, are best.
Those things are the cockroaches of the garden world. One could be involved in a thermonuclear blast and still come out of the other side and start again.
You have inspired me to collect one of these classics and follow your steps to get it going again. I think the design of the Vortex is so unique and adds a real eighties streamlined style, and discretely hides the mechanicals. here's hoping I can get it going.

I always thought it was an interesting design but wondered why they bothered with the shrouds...maybe it was to cut down the noise of a 2 stroke? Anyway, this one is a bloody good starter and well worth keeping.
good machines those . you want a white GTS to go with it with a catcher ? same thing , its sat for so long now i cant remember what was wrong , but it did run im sure

Great stuff Joe Carroll mate awesome stuff and these Victa Vortexes were the mowers in the years of 1984 and came in a range of colors

The three colours came in succession. Red 1983/84,
yellow 1985/86, white Mustang GTS 1987/88.

Andy K it’s very quiet compared to others, the big rubber disc around the blades also helps with noise!

I did have one but not sure what happened to it, id like another one one day but shipping is a killer out my way.
