  • The second part of getting the Terminator X Max installed on the V8 Swapped Camaro!! Overall a painless installation with only a few little challenges to overcome. I'm super happy with this purchase already!

    Another issue u might be having u may need to hook your throttle body up to your air filter box and plug in your airflow sensor and all that fun crap had the same issue it wouldn't run right when idle right and then I did all that and it works

      @@MohawkMotors didn’t see you replied man, what’s going on with the build? Hopefully your still at it I’ve been waiting for the next video! I found a ls 6.0 I can pull myself for 190 that I would rebuild and while I find a candidate. Hope everything’s going well and I appreciate the series. Keep up the hard work.

    I’m doing the same thing in my camaro
    I could use some tips on wiring

      Excellent!!! Take your time, make sure all your connections are good, test everything before you try to make it pretty and tidy. IF you have any specific questions or anything let me know! Good luck!!

    Where did you tie in the fuel pump and power wires?

    • @MohawkMotors
      @MohawkMotors  Před 3 lety

      I used the fuel pump power supply in the terminator harness, to energize the factory fuel pump relay in the fuse/relay box. From there it's just the factory wiring back to the fuel pump.

    What did you do to wire the alternator, starter etc?

    • @MohawkMotors
      @MohawkMotors  Před rokem

      The starter I just used the factory wiring. It cranks and starts off the key just like a stock car. Alternator is wired using a resistor, There are a lot of videos on how to do it on youtube, thats how I found out how to do it.

    What did you do for exhaust? I just got a 01 v6 for 600 bucks and I want to put a 6.0 in with the same k member you got

      I'm just running long tube headers with about 18" of 3 inch tube pointed out the sides. Very simple.

    Hey quick question right around this part myself with starting.. the engine harness was pulled from the car when I got it but I have the old harness.. I put a Holley harness in now the question I have is what did you use to trigger the starter key on for powering the system did you pull the harness apart to keep that if so do you have some info on that thanks

    • @MohawkMotors
      @MohawkMotors  Před 2 lety

      I was able to re-purpose some of th stock ignition 12v wires. I think 1 was for the coils, and one was for the injectors. The holley system supplies the power to the injectors and coils now so you can re-purpose the stock coil and injectors power supplies for the 12+ triggers to the holley.

    Hey buddy I subscribed and watched as many videos as possible, but I have another question did you have to change the gas by wire Pedal?

    • @MohawkMotors
      @MohawkMotors  Před 2 lety

      I appreciate you watching nd subscribing!! Yes I switched from the drive by wire pedal that came in the car, to a drive by cable pedal that came in a 98 v6 camaro. The bolt patterns to mount them are the same and the hole for the throttle cable is already in the firewall, all you need to do is get a drive by cable pedal assembly to swap in.

    What Ls is that?

    • @MohawkMotors
      @MohawkMotors  Před 3 lety

      This one is an LM4, aluminum block 5.3 out of a 2004 GMC Envoy, technically not an "LS" but shares the same architecture and design.

    • @MrPistons4life
      @MrPistons4life Před 3 lety +1

      I thought 4.8, 5.3, and 6.0/6.2 all were LS engines

    • @MohawkMotors
      @MohawkMotors  Před 3 lety

      Yes and no. They all share the same engine design, block, heads, etc all share the same fundamental design as the true "LS" engines but carry a different 3 digit designation code. The only "True" Ls engines are the LS1, LS2, LS3, LS4, LS5, LS6, LS7, and LS9. There are 6.0 truck engines for example that are the same displacement as the LS2, but the LS2 has different cam, intake and heads to match it's performance target which make it an LS2, the 6.o truck engine comes with a different, lower performance, head, cam, and intake package.

    Do you know if i buy a 4th Gen "roller" Z28 or SS; is it as simple as getting a motor, trans, and tune? Or is there other things to consider?

    • @MohawkMotors
      @MohawkMotors  Před 2 lety +1

      If it was originally an Ls car then yes. You'd just need and engine, transmission, and tune, and whatever else is missing from the roller. Wire harness, computer, hoses, etc.
