This happened in my house. It was a broken water main and I had to call the city. Since it was the main from the road to my house the city took care of it

Oh goodness, you understand our pain! At least the city was able to take care of it and you didn’t have to! Ours was on our property past the main line from the road and was the one going up towards the house. We found out it had been previously repaired and we just patched it again.

Then you turn around and go out find yourself a adjustable wrench and turn it off
