In this video, we replace a set of master window switches (drivers control panel) on a 2008 GMC Sierra Z71 4x4 quad cab. Of course these instructions should apply to several models of GMC/Chevrolet pickups from 2007-2014. It's very simple to do and all you'll need is a slot screw driver and 10mm socket. The dealership wanted to charge $69 for the part and $305 labor for this job. You can buy the original OEM part off Amazon for $27 and get the job done in 10 minutes +/-. The Part number you'll need is ACDelco D1954F. Don't pay someone else to do this simple job.

Very simple. Take your time...wiggle and jiggle to get things apart. It's helpful to look at the new piece to see the tabs that hold things in place. Good video. Thanks.

I have a 2013 GMC Sierra and the passenger window switch got to where it wouldn't work. I had talked to the dealer ship and I think the job would have cost around $180. I found your video and studied it, and decided to work on it myself. I was a little nervous about it, but I got started on it and was able to do the job myself. Thank you so very much for going to the trouble to post this video. One of the most helpful videos I've ever seen.

Thank you! The aftermarket parts distributor linked to your video for replacement on my 2011 Silverado. Received the part today, followed the link to your video after work and putting the grandkids to bed, changed the part.
No issues, including not breaking the small tab in the middle of the switch mount panel when lifting it away from the door handle since you thought enough to specifically mention that in your video.
I very match appreciate the simple and complete video.

I commented a week ago about this video. Today I did the job and it took me like 10 minutes and I saved over 300 bucks doing it myself. Thanks again for the video, it was very descriptive and made doing this very easy. I truly appreciate it!!

Absolutely fantastic instructional video. I have a problem with the master window switch in my 2012 Silverado, and I was just about to take it into the shop. Had no idea that it was such a straightforward repair. You just saved me, very likely, at least a hundred dollars!

Thank you sir! You just saved my pocket book & lord knows how many hours at the dealership. BTW the dealer told me $150 diagnostic fee + parts + labor...easily $300+
I ordered the part # in your description for $28 on amazon prime & the install took all of 2 minutes.

Appreciate you making this video. Just like others on here I was quoted $200+ for install "PROGRAMING" and parts at the local Chevy dealer. ($80 switch, $100 program & install) I bought the part on Amazon for $30 and installed it in 5 minutes. It's easier than it looks. The video was super helpful!!! Thank you!

Great video! I had the exact same problem and was able to replace mine. However, the windows still do not work but I hear a click at the passenger and back passenger window when I push the buttons on the main switch. I do not have a click at te driver side back window. Does this mean that the back drivers side switch is bad?

thanks..I thought these had to be programmed and the dealer wanted 100 bucks alone to do this..and talk about thieves I needed a new keyless remote so I found them on Amazon on sale 2 for 16.00..the dealer wants 126.00 for 1 and and then told me 49.95 to program..I said 07-2010 we do that our selves..I don't deal with gm anymore..

You can save some money by just taking the modual apart and cleaning the contacts under the rubber pad with a pencil eraser. Very easy and works like new.

Yes they do for part # 20877336 (mine has the folding mirrors/heated seats/etc that run through the master window switch assembly). A shop that has the GM programmer or the stealership will have to do it. Once you replace that one only the driver window will work, it won't even recognize the door is ajar, power door lock doesn't work either. The one in this video may be different as it is missing some functions from the other one. I just swapped mine out with a brand new Bosch (OEM) I got from an online parts warehouse because Autozone wanted 180 + 150 core charge.....

Not helpful if one bypasses the most important section in the video, which is removal of parts to expose the switch. Every step is talked about, but we never see the removal, only the moment after each completed.
