Beutiful running session of this Southern Pacific D9-44CW, the reason the windows look like that is because it was an early dash 9 locomotives, they are beautiful ❤️

That is a great model of an early Dash 9. Scale trains have not only hit a home run but a league winning home run with this model. They haven't just captured the shape and escence of the Dash 9 but the 'Soul' of the prototype as well. Something rarely done,if at all these days. Well done Scale Trains.

If you using DCC you can flash the ditch light (which only western railroad use ditch flash)
BN actually had flashing ditch lights on their first order of SD70MAc's, the 9400's.

Not sure what the bumps on the back are for, but the silver piece that comes out on the Engineer Side appears to be a tag. There are tag readers that scan for each car/locomotive that pass it. Not sure what they use the info for, but I think that’s what it is! 👍🏻

no BNSF is not from the ealy 2010s it was formed in 1995
Ya, you’re right about that but he was meaning about that the BNSF C44-9W 4000 number series units were built in the early 2010s
No The C44-9W's Were Not Made In The Early 2010's They Were Produced From 1995-2004
All there Dash 9 models are beautiful i just wish they would continue to restock some of them instead of just sell them once and thats it. Would be cool to get some Santa Fe Dash 8 as well

does anyone know if scale trains works with Bachmann ez track from a train set with the DC Controller that you get in a train set?
They’ll run fine on Backmann ez track, just have to make sure the radius isn’t too small
I run some athearn trains in my starter set track. It works fine for me.

As for the real 8168 it was Repainted by UP and renumbered to 9632 in 1997 it's unknown what happened to the unit as it saw it's final picture in 2018
