Kalani Sitake & BYU 'Looking Forward To Our Offense Being What We're Used To' | BYU Cougars Podcast

The BYU Cougars are looking to bounceback from a disappointing end of their first season in the Big 12 Conference this fall and BYU football coach Kalani Sitake says he has confidence that his program will have an improved on-field product spearheaded by an offense that will be more of what BYU fans have been used to as compared to the struggles of 2023.
Jake Hatch and Kalani Sitake then talked about the defense and what defensive coordinator Jay Hill is endeavoring to do as he looks to field a more competitive unit in his second season at Brigham Young University (BYU) as the Cougars will need the defense to be able to hold up better against some of the withering Big 12 offenses they will face this season.
Finally, the show wrapped up with Coach Sitake's overall assessment of what he believes BYU football can accomplish this fall as he explains that he feels that his team is ready to shock some of their haters and the naysayers who believe that they will finish near the bottom of the expanded Big 12 and why he feels his program could turn some heads.

Great coverage, Jake. Forgive me for taking a jab at the industry that you’re involved with, but they can be lazy and base their predictions off of only superficial data. Injuries are a huge concern for the success of this team, but if they’re able to avoid them this could be a big year to make a lot of noise as a conference contender. Go Cougs! 🤙🏾

Getting to 6 wins and a bowl isn't going to be on our defense. It's 100% on our offensive performance. Last year BYU stumbled into a 5-2 record and if it wasn't for our defense we wouldn't have even gotten there. For us to be successful in football this year the offense has to improve 1000% last years offensive performance was the worst offense in 40 yrs. This year's wins total will be on our offensive play!!!! Go cougars....

Worried about the d line. On paper this unit is not very talented. Losing cravens and mahe on an already underwhelming unit hurts. Not being able to stop the run killed us last year. Hopefully we can see those large defensive coaching contracts put to good use with improvement in dline play. Thanks Jake!
