Hi, in this #speedart video I'm showing you 3 easy tips I use when creating digital collages. Try these tricks for yourself and let me know how it goes.
Tip #1: Using Textures for backgrounds.
Elevate your collages by adding captivating backgrounds using textures. Experiment with various textures/patterns to bring depth and uniqueness to your digital canvas.
Tip #2: Create Shadows to add surrealist effects.
Infuse surrealism into your digital collages by creating realistic-ish shadows. Experiment with shadow placement to add intrigue and depth, pushing the boundaries of reality in your design.
Start with a basic circle, then adjust the color to a dark gray, and adjust the opacity/blending mode. Finally, add a Gaussian blur to the shadow.
Tip #3: Use Textures for the entire image to add an analog feel.
Immerse your digital collages in an analog vibe by incorporating textures over your entire artwork in Adobe Illustrator. Find a balance between digital and analog warmth, creating visually engaging compositions.
Start by placing your texture over your entire composition, then adjust the blending mode/opacity to find a look that you like

Just found your channel and I appreciate you sharing all of your knowledge and work! Super helpful. I was wondering if these collages are something that can still be saved as a vector file to resize as desired without losing quality?
I am thinking of creating collage designs for merch (t-shirts) and am completely new to Illustrator hehe.

They should all work, so other people were having issues with the links too. Try copying just the link plain text and pasting it into a new browser. (clicking the link sometimes gives an error). Hope it works for you, they are dope packs
