As far as wearing masks alone in a car, yeah it is pretty daft, but nor is it hurting anyone, so I don't see why it should actually annoy anyone. Most places in UK allow to pay at pump if you want, but you have the opportunity to go in to pay.

Firstly if you are ill... not just with covid, but with just a cold, you may want to wear a mask still to prevent the spread. If you have a poor immune system, wearing a mask is valid. But again... is it hurting you, is it hurting anyone else? NO! So don't worry about it, it is about as silly as people in a fuss over women wearing trousers rather than skirts in an office.
I work in a petrol station and we do have pay at the pumps but most people still come in to pay ,we are a spar shop as well so maybe they want some other things as well. We do have drive offs but we just phone the police ,everything is on really good cameras ,so we have the cars number plate and they get picked up by the police eventually

I realise watching these compilations of TikToks (I've seen a few) that I am officially too old..... One or two of these were funny, but most of them - nah!
So true. I'm glad these shows died in popularity. It's so easy to psychologically manipulate people into dehumanising others while making a quick profit. In fact, I'm glad TV is disappearing in general and we get to watch normal people like Joel make entertainment for us in their own home without a big budget. I'm optimistic about the future 😄

Sometimes I'd keep my mask on in the car (alone) is because I'd wore it in the metro from work and then was too lazy to take it off on the ride to the supermarket. I would take it off after I was done with the supermarket though. Just laziness.

I think petrol stations have evolved from back in the day, when it just offered petrol, and you paid at the counter and drove off. Nowadays, petrol stations are called forecourt’s, and have amenities just like supermarkets, like Tescos. But depending on the size of the forecourt they will have a large selection of food types, including, groceries, alongside vehicle supplies. And I’ve seen in my area a forecourt station inside a Tesco car park which has pumps you can pay at the pumps, or inside the forecourt shop. The downside to paying at the pump, you’re at risk of being robbed by an opportunist passing by, especially, when it’s late at night, and there’s no other people around. With everything in life, there’s upsides and downsides to things. 🤔
From that start of lockdown to December 2020 I was delivering hire cars around Edinburgh, the Lothian's and the Scottish Borders, I had to wear a face covering as the car I was taking to a customer had been cleaned and disinfected. Also had to sit in the back of the car that picked me up driven by a colleague as we weren't allowed to sit next to each other. I never wore an face mask while driving my personal car.
We have pay at pump also that most people use but you can go inside the kiosk and pay also if you have cash or need something else form inside, for example many people will pay at the kiosk before work and grab a drink and snack for work at same time, if you paid by the pump you wudnt be able to do this but for me personally I full my motorbike up and pay and pump as there is always a line for the kiosk aha.

Hi regarding wearing a mask in a car by yourself. Its generally easier to drive the same way all the time, it would be quite difficult to drive in a mask if you have never done it. At some point you may have a vulnerable passenger.
But theres no longer an excuse to wear a mask anymore, only if you work for the NHS you have to, but even before the pandemic started NHS nurses wore masks, so it was still normal for them while working
The masks don't really work, other than as a rather timid filter. I used to be a woodworker many years ago and I had to wear one of those every day. At the end of each day, there was a fair build-up of wood dust... inside the mask! Oh, and trust me, Joel - we're not all as loud and crude as these people in the video. Some people... Can't take 'em anywhere.
