Welcome to 365 Days of Prog! The series in which I undertake the daunting task of listening to and reviewing 365 musically progressive albums throughout the year of 2022.
The list is made up of albums which were recommended to me by various people as their favorite albums.
If you want to help me buy more pens for writing these reviews, consider becoming a patreon: / 365daysofprog
    Happy listening,

I say this as someone with a great and unabashed love of many obscure artists and albums... sometimes music is obscure for a reason.

Not heard a single iota about this one but I appreciated the history lesson =) I'm getting Van der Graaf Generator and organ jazz vibes from the samples and that's always fun, but this otherwise seems pretty meh.
Super stoked to hear your reaction to Trout Mask Replica, though. That is an experience for sure.

Now there's obscure and then there's obscure, I wonder if these guys even remember that they made music at all.

Naomi, are you tired of doing your reviews?

Thanks for the like! Presumably they help in some way :P
And as for your question: tired I am not, but the making of this series has become fairly time-consuming in a period when I have little time to concentrate on the series...
But I love making these reviews, even though sometimes I feel like I listen to entire albums that I literally have NOTHING to say about, I still find a way forward and come out a little more educated from the other side. This series has made me erudite to some extent, at least in this very specific field, but I still feel like there's so much more to discover!
I am looking forward to keep making these reviews even in 2023, but this time I'll get to choose the albums I want to review (which is a blessing and a curse, really.)
      See ya' tomorrow ;))

@@365DaysofProg Thx for this based reply, appreciate that!)
I totally get the time-consuming factor. It resonates with me also. Hundreds of different style albums, hundreds of listens (at least, sometimes you gotta give it more than 1 listen)... that is A LOT. And then, you realise you've heard nothing yet! And this music feels endless... Not all of it might be enjoyable and tastes might change at some point.
