    I want this machine! its the exact machine I learned to sew on back in the 70s. my mom brought it with her from England. Every machine I've used since has been a disappointment.

    I'm glad I watched this video. I too am really Leary of using step down converters. Messing with voltage scares me.sometimes I want a machine where the motor is inside and is a 220.🙄😥

    I have one of these machines. It's amazing. I absolutely love it. I use it more than any of my other vintage machines or my modern machines.

    Get a transformer that will convert 110V to 220V. You can buy them widely in New Zealand.

    I love the little built-in extension table!
    Does a hand crank fit with no modifications? It looks like the handwheel has indents to accommodate one; it must be 185k specific, because I’ve never seen a 185J with that kind of handwheel.
