The Performing Artists’ Mental Health and COVID-19 Webinar Series, under the auspices of the International Association for Dance Medicine and Science, offers free weekly webinars on mental health for performing artists, and the multidisciplinary professionals who work in performance science, medicine, education and psychology. In these extraordinary times, extraordinary and creative measures are needed to help performing artists and all of us cope with the disruption and challenges resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. In this webinar series, experts in mental health, and performance health and well-being provide insights, practical tips and sage advice for those helping performers and for performing artists themselves. Our mission is to help people help themselves and others. We have years of professional training and we acknowledge that mental health will be affected by the difficult times we are in and that we will face through this pandemic. There are simply not enough mental health workers to go around, and so, we believe that helping individuals help themselves is the way forward at this time.
