- The "Loy Krathong" evening is one of Thailand's most beautiful events. It's a time when people congregate near lakes, rivers, and canals to pay homage to the goddess of water by releasing magnificent lotus-shaped rafts into the water, which are decked with candles, incense, and flowers.
Loy Krathong -- literally means to float a crafted item of respect into the water -- occurs every year on the 12th lunar month's night (typically in November), towards the conclusion of the rainy season, when the full moon illuminates the sky. This year, at Thailand Pavilion, bring this festival to the eyes of the world at Expo 2020 Dubai.
