Incredible talent, she takes after her dad. It's a real shame he didn't live long enough to see just how great she has become. Though I expect he always knew she would.
Saw her in a small intimate club in Nashville called "The Basement" from a front table in Feb/1; was quite likely the best individual performance I have ever seen. She is the real deal and drips with talent, and I am a fan for life.

Saw Chris Whitley open for Tom Petty on a freezing November evening in Dallas, TX in the early 90's. It was frigid, played a full opening set with his shirt unbuttoned but kinda tucked in and was probably freezing his azz off but put on a great show. One of the best most memorable shows I have had the pleasure to witness and seeing and hearing his daughter it shows some things are just inherited pure stuff, wow.

I believe it’s a Les Paul Special (singlecut) with P90’s.
I think it's a Les Paul Junior hardly modified. One neck pickup, a pickup selector and one volume-tone added in my opinion... and with no Gibson knobs. But it looks so cool. Really a nice job done...

@ what point does she sound or remind you of Jeff Buckley? A few commented that I saw Buckley once in 94' in an instore right after Grace to and new he was a rare talent to me there's not any similarities at all. She's ok but there's a lot of ok's.
Billy Pilgrim Might want to check out her father Chris Whitley (I would say a bigger influence), but you couldn't go wrong with either Jeff or Chris. Then again Trixie is an amazing talent in her own right. btw I saw Jeff in 94 as well, one of my top three all time concerts. Soul Coughing opened First Ave, MPLS.

Billy Pilgrim It's an unsettling sound yes, but I think that's the nature of the song, and what's she's going for. Art doesn't have to be pretty or clean. The juxtaposition between the angelic voice, and low tuned dirty raunchy guitar is what makes it for me.
