Yes, if there is no battery, it can be pedaled like an ordinary tricycle. We use a motor without reluctance, and there is a mechanical transmission in the configuration, which can adjust the pedaling frequency and make you pedal more comfortably.

@@Chooch88899 I am very interested in a 1200w 96v off road version. Long range and speed would be essential as I would like to use this doing backcountry backpacking and camping. Your frame setup is ideal. If given an area like a coverable flatbed instead of a rear seat, and making it rugged enough for offroad use, possibly with regenerative braking and pedaling, I guarantee you would sell a lot of them. I'd buy one or two for sure.
