We recorded this 4k ultra hd video during our trip to Amsterdam, Netherlands on August 2020.
Amsterdam is the capital and most populous city of the Netherlands. It is colloquially referred to as the "Venice of the North", attributed by the large number of canals which form a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Amsterdam's name derives from Amstelredamme, indicative of the city's origin around a dam in the river Amstel.
Our guided walking tour is about 6.52 miles (10.5 km) long, starts at Amsterdam Central Station and covers most attractions and historic sites of Amsterdam.

My daughter and I took at train from Munich following the end of a two week Europe tour in 2016 to Amsterdam Central station so she could see the Anne Franke house. We were in Amsterdam for two full days. I enjoyed taking a canal cruise. One day just to take a break we visited their zoo that had plenty of flowers and I enjoyed seeing the many Dutch families there. The trams make it easy to see the sights if too far to walk. Coming from St. Louis to takes a while to get use to the many bike and scooter riders. I enjoyed your walking tour.

As a mauritian i really enjoyed watching every min of this tour, its my dream to visit Amsterdam one day. I really appreciate the architectural design just amazing.
Funny detail, Mauritius was named after the prince of Orange-Nassau Maurits a real innovator in warfare. The Dutch encountered a bird called a Dodo that tasted terribly but was unafraid of humans or other predators. Cats and rats that climbed off the ships likely caused it to go extinct as they ate their young and their eggs.
Thanks ... your great walks are now part of my daily exercise routine. But more importantly they help me overcome depression during these long and dark days of Winter. I like hearing the sounds of the street.. thanks for not putting some awful music over this video.

It's a reminiscing experience watching this video. In October 2019 I visited a friend in Amsterdam. This is the exact route she took me to show me around the beautiful city. I hope to be back again someday to spend more time and seriously stay in every souvenir shops longer. I love Amsterdam! Thank you for this video!

I'm surpised to see how quiet it is even in the city center. Very few cars and trucks.
The Netherlands is a cycling paradise. No country comes close to them.
Netherland no where compare to California, the real cycling heaven.
This was during peak COVID so there where less people and traffic then normal.

I think you picked the right moment to do a walking tour, while it's not that busy. I live in Amsterdam myself and when the city is too crowded it can be awful in the city centre

Amsterdam is so gorgeous... A while ago I was talking to someone who lived in Netherlands, and he told me that is one of the best places to disabled people live (I'm disabled, and here in Braziil I can barely leave my house, the structure is awful). I wish I can visit there someday!
