I have been using something in every slot from your list save one. I love the alpha compys. The only downside they keep getting separated from me in the undermountain dungeons. I think they keep wandering off to snack on whatever they see move in game.lol. I am glad I never sold them. Thanks for making these vids! My game has improved so much because of you.

Thank you assist man I am a ranger I’m rocking the Doohickey the fire enchantment trying to get the vorpal and putting a lot into power and defense so far is working oh and the essence works pretty good too
I've been playing around a lot with companion bonuses. Currently I'm only running on rank 10 / 11 loadout.
So far I've found the following very useful for Rogue.
:Mercenarys Discipline 4k power 2k Combat Adv
:Brooms Insight %4 crit sev 2k avoidance
:Yetis presence 10% chance 4k power for 10 secs when hit(procs very well)
:Dancing Blades insight 4% crit sev 2k combat adv
:Mighty insight 1500 power 3k deflection.
My mighty insight still has to hit legendary and my yetis presence is only on green quality but like I said that 10% procs quite well in my opinion.
With my crit strike at its cap my severity is currently 105% coming in from comps and boons. I hit 560k shocking execution without potions or food items so that in itself for me is fantastic especially with the new scaling system.
Pre mod 16 I was a 14k duff that had crappy rank 8 loadout. Since new mod, I already am at nearly 22k, making great AD, and spent it well to get to a comfortable playing level.
I could use all power on my comp offense slots however, I've found with my crit at its cap, the extra severity especially running vorpal is quite beasty.
But when I do get yeti and my ioun stone to leg, whoooah yeahhh.
Best part about this new mod is how fast I've found myself get to the new level for comfortable playing without having to worry on still being a duff.
Everything has just become easier in my opinion to refine, upgrade, and reach better goals :)
I've been using the Goldfish, along with some Tenebrous and am liking it! I had him at Legendary in Mod 15, pup is still only epic!
Love and have most of these. Underrated picks are Shadow Demon, Ghost, Scarecrow, Leperchaun, and Zhentarim Warlock. Lots of strong options. The aforementioned are best bang for the buck if you run lots of toons and don't wanna splurge.

I bought all these you mentioned when mod 16 was announced and the new comp bonuses came out. I read through what I thought would be good and bought them. I actually got 4 hawks (have 8 endgame toons). I never heard anything about them and thought I just wasted ad. Luckily I held most. I did get others also that I thought may be good at that time like kobold and panther. With icy terrain and the cockatrice, the panther might actually be good. I think its 10% vs rooted targets
+1 on the hunting hawk. I have been telling people they were sleeping on the hunting hawk for over a year now. Before this new mod, you could slot 2 neck items, so I doubled up on the crafted BIS necklace that boosted crit and power. Plus it had two offense slots for my rank 14 black ice... not bad for a Ranger and his Bird. The only problem I have yet to solve now is - they made the archery options for Ranger a little nonsensical. Ranged specialty Paragon doesn't have access to Split the Sky. Also, the bonus you get is for being within 25 feet of your enemy. So to maximize that bonus you lose on the hawk bonus and Visa versa. But - I WILL figure something ranged out as it's my favorite way to roll on the masses. Even if my ranged loadout is actually in the non ranged paragon, I will make a viable build, my brother. 🇺🇸
yeah man the hunting hawk is really really good and very versatile as well with its multi slots
Kills me that I had so many companions and either discarded them or threw them away to make room for others.
The Star of Simril is a great comp too. Power, Critical Avoidance and Awareness. Doesn't have Combat Advantage but people underestimate defensive stats (a dead dps is a dps that deals no damage). It's also super cheap.

Fantastic stuff bro. I see someone else found my lil secret pet for DPS. That stone pet is a staple on my Wizard. I was explaining to a friend that the Bullette is bugged for some players (If it was your main pet before as it was mine on my main, it's not bugged). The stone works better if you lack crit.
The Slaad poison does the same damage as the scorpions poison (at least on my toon. both of mine are purple, not orange). It just spreads, whereas the scorpion poison is per enemy attacked. But the good thing is (unless this is a bug) you can use them both at the same time & they stack. Dots for days.
In my testing, crit severity is way better than a 4k power buff. Power is flat...power increase, lol. Whereas crit severity (especially when your crit% is @ the 50% max) is almost double your power.

You are taling about the black death scorpion right? that thing is weird for me i cant get it to proc that often lol. seems broke is yours proccing as much as the slaad? yeah the power crit thing is so minimal of an amount its not worth it. the 4000 power is giving me a 1.4% dps increase while the 4% crit severity is coming out to be about a 2% increase on crits so im gonna just not use it i have enough tied up in to companions already from all my testing lol
@@TheRealAssistMan Yes, the black death scorpion procs every time I attack. I assumed its broken or NW is actually being kind to me for one. But while it's working I'm gonna keep using it. I've found some bugged pets are bugged for only certain toons. Some companions that are bugged on 1 of my toons isn't bugged on another and vice versa. Very weird.
Correction, the scorpion procs every time I crit..
weird on my cw i never get the scorpion to proc. i just tried it again didnt proc once in 50 encounters and woulkd only proc like once every 15 secs on at wills while my death slaad proced like every 2-3 seconds
@@TheRealAssistMan that's interesting. Perhaps it only works on physical attacks. I only use the scorpion on my barbarian and my rogue. So either, its physical attacks only, or as I speculated, its currently broken and just being generous to me. Either way, thanx for responding
Ghost,in utility is decent too because it also can slot into offence and also has crit strike if you want crits up a bit

Great video as always. Death Slaad is performing nicely but you should also look into Owlbear Cub, since you can use it in utility as well. Procs all the time to include your at-wills. Some of these obviously benefit a DPS that has ranged abilities. I main a Rogue so the hawk isn't going to really benefit me but the crit severity does. Keep up the good work.
owlbear cub is broken hasnt worked at all since mod 16 came out its supposed to be patched

The Hunting Hawk has a huge drawback in dungeons. The farther you are from the boss, the higher your chances of not being healed if you take damage because healers will prefer healing 4 people rather than you alone if you are far away.
I agree. Additionally, being far away can mean you will not deal Combat Advantage at all.
Combat Advantage does make a big difference so fighting from afar with a Hawk won't help.
Do a video on what all the caps in the game are and how to know if you are currently capped or where you are...
btw I was making a whole big list of awareness items cuz I'm a tank and was tryna smash that up --- not sure if there's any great stuff, off the top of my head, but there are some chult rings and undermountain rings that get you 4-5k, also portal hounds I guess, but those might not be worth giving up another pet

Tamed raptor is bugged gives full benefits even without party having it. Making it the best power companion to run in offensive slot.

I used that too in loadout, along with grungs instincts and slaads presence. Had all three proc at same time in combat in a t9 run. It's quite godly, especially if you add bilethorn to it along with dragon glyphs to proc poison too. It's almost like your a toxic terror of dps
And the minstrel u can buy at green from sybella, also what about the other companions that poison there targets? An a final comment the top 5 enhancement powers? Why do all the endgamers fail in not using batiri runts? 5%bonus damage(legendary lvl) on boss fight not worth it to them?
Idk if it’s only me having this problem, but on my ranger, if you use profession weapons like mithral blades, they are glitched and do 0 damage, you should try it out and see it for yourself
all the time or sometimes? if only sometimes it is cause your accuracy is too low and the enemies dodged your attack perhaps
The Assist Man it happens all the time, when I switch to a normally obtainable weapon, they always do damage

The barbarian, and the fighter and paladin have three defensive spots cause of their tanking paragon paths, the cleric has three utilities slots

ALSO, I failed to mention if you want the Icoasehdron Ion Stone you can buy it from the zen market for 2500 zen at purple even less if you have a coupon, dont get caught slipping and spending more on the auction house ;) ALSO, The Iccosahedron Ion Stone is ONLY available on consoles and NOT on pc.
I'd love to buy it on auction but tbh I have all the ioun stones except the black an icoa. However finding icoa is hard other than in store an I say that because I've looked for months an hust like the ioun stones.

4000 power probably beats 4% crit severity since it applies to all damage and not just critical strikes.

owlbear cub is not working currently on consoles either is manticore. arnea i tested it was underwelming to me. havent tested the others
@@TheRealAssistMan Owlbear Cub when fixed will be a strong pick for toons who rely on their at wills for damage output me thinks. Aranea is not that strong but as a budget pick it is nice. If you get her to proc a lot, the damage adds up. 8)

Just pulled the Glorious Resurgence Legendary Pack and was about to go ahead and get the armoured bulette companion as per your prior vid and was wondering what you’d suggest I do with this box in terms of the most profitable and practical way to boost my character ? I have one leg. mount(tensers) and two leg. Companions ( none of the above hence the decision to get bulette) .long question shorter, do u suggest I sell it to get my equipment enchantments up or get another leg. *LOW LEVELS buy Zhentarin warlock and/or Barbarian shaman are dirt cheap so is green rust monster!* It's bugged though in xbox, says 10% with epic 20% at GREEN. I hooked my son's account up just getting through Blackdagger I said screw it n spent about 75k, Minstrel, Zhentarim Warlock, Rust Monster, Master illusionist was free with arc, and Energon. ;) I'll make that back, a second account with VIP and EVERY free arc and twitch promos etc...

everything mob wise fast the game is just too simple and non challenging now. where the slaad works great is on bosses and having the poison stacks stack and keep ticking. you can send me a message if you want i usually check them about once per week

at melee range it is about a 4% damage increase

I play on PS4 so I don't know if it's different for Xbox but the dps fighter doesn't have 3 offensive companion bonus slots. We have 3 defense, 1 offense, and 1 utility.

Guardian fighter dps only has 1 offense slot, 3 defense slots and a utility slot.

I'm really upset that the GWF(dps class) now a barbarian blade master is considered a hybrid tank!!! WTF is that. If I'm a blade master I'm a dam dps. So I should get to choose 3 offence companion powers. I'm not a sentinel barbarian which is a tank. So what would be considered the best offence companion power to use?

if you use a regular fighting companion it is amazing. if you use an augment then no it wont work at all

it depends on what you need. for tank i would stack defense and deflect and crit avoidance til you reach cap then work on hp

Um bullette pup is an augment pet it doesn’t do anything in dungeons it’s the exact samething as the ioun stones
go run lair of mad m,age with it and watch it get stuck behind things and not follow you. all of my friends have had it happen to them
I have run lomm hundreds of times already and yes on a few occasions it gets stuck but I still don’t understand what powers the pup has that that would effect , its an augment it doesn’t have any powers or do anything but give you more stats . Only thing I can think of is the enhancement power which is a chance at getting a 2k stat increase when ur pet is near
thats what we thought as well. but i have had 6 people it has happened to already in there where their stats did not have any of the companion stats cause the companion was too far away to apply them. makes no sense cause it is an augment i agree but trust me it happens i have video proof.
Must be another Xbox thing , I just ran around for 30 mins in a lomm run trying to get my pup stuck lol finally he did and my stats staid the same till I got far enough away for him to reset . Someone should def post in the bug forum

Spartan3020 Fighter has a DPS path now with the same slots.
How dumb is that , such a big disadvantage in power compared to all other dps classes
thats because in mod 16 they put the barbarian as more of a tank class and not a dps anymore. real dumb, i know

The pup is still good man, very good. Just high maintenance in some situations and need to make sure it’s with you and not stuck somewhere is all.

lion is not good cause it does not proc on an augment companion. mercenary is not bad but there is better

barbarian is not really a dps anymore its more of a hybrid tank/dps. the dps classes are the rogue,ranger and wizard pretty much
