How much of the zwift map have you ridden?
Would be cool to see Hank's routes.
I've probably ridden all the roads. Just road Innsbruck today (the reverse route up the mountain twice) and that climb is crazy hard. But I agree with Hank, New York is much hillier than you would think (it's all the fake roads up on the sky bridge though). I don't think I can do this challenge, but I might try doing a whole map one at a time, just not on the same day.

I sincerely hope Hank realizes how incredibly inspirational these challenges are. I am sure that like me, thousands of viewers are jumping straight on their bikes after watching this and doubling the effort they would normally put in. This goes way beyond entertainment!! Agree, he did definitely look in pain in some of the closeups but he seems to have stayed positive and optimistic which is half the battle. I'd like to have heard more about how he was feeling inside, about his motivation levels throughout the day and what he was thinking about etc. Endurance challenges of this magnitude are possible only with the correct mindset.
Superb effort there Hank, well done! I did World in a Day with Mark Beaumont last weekend and did 400km in 12 hours on Watopia. I winced when you told us what you had planned the day after! 12 hours on Zwift is tough enough and what you did is taking to the next level and beyond. Massive respect mate 🚴💪
Finally we're back on the "Killing Hank" campaign, and we even have his dad to help!
I have to say, this really speaks to how good Zwift actually is. I recently got my whole Zwift setup complete with a smart trainer, and I'm able to just go. The software is able to capture a lot of the same feelings I get while riding outside. If the software wasn't good, a challenge like this would be completely undoable. Good job Hank

I completed my first 100km on Zwift last month with only 900m of climbing. I was knackered after that. Couldn't imagine doing what Hank just accomplished. I doff my hat to you, sir.
That's mental! I have around 150km as my longest route on zwift and that was rough. Mostly that your so stationary on the bike while pedaling indoors and you're just looking at a screen.. top job 💪🏻👍🏻
I never used zwift, and I wonder how the bike adjusts for the climbs ?
@@helenab9973 The trainer adjust the resistance depending on the gradient. So going uphill it becomes harder to pedal etc.
@@helenab9973 it really is tuff the hills are brutal, what Hank and Hanks Dad accomplished is truly epic
@@helenab9973 On your turbo, if you want hills to feel like hills unfortunately you need a Kickr Climb or a Kickr Bike. Otherwise, it's just like riding into a stronger wind.
