  • This is a MUST watch session for serious students of church history, which I did on ‪@ImNotWhatImNot‬'s channel.
I go in-depth on Tertullian's Trinitarian views, refuting the lies of arians, unitarians and muhammadans, all of whom butcher the words of this great theologian in order to deceive the unsuspecting into thinking that Tertullian did not love and worship the Trinity. I also address Jesus' words in John 20:17 and why he referred to the Father as being his God.
Here are the articles that go with this session. Make sure to study the info, pass it on to others, and use it in your witness. To the Triune God worshiped by Tertullian and the early church be everlasting glory!

Praise the Triune God for the gift of understanding and articulation of scripture given to Sam. This level of explanation I'll never receive without seeking God further than Church or leaning on my own understanding.

This is getting really deep. It’s like deciphering a code. Like John 13:31-32 🤯 It makes perfect sense. Seems like they are in constant union with each other through consciousness and spirit.

How fitting that you share the name of the prophet Samuel, for every day you reveal the King to me in ways that my heart did not understand by my eyes alone

Brother Sam, does Tertullians view of Genesis differ from the term "Eternally Begotten"? Or would it remain under the term "Eternally begotten" due to the Eternal Reason who is not the Father being projected from the bosom of the Father taking the term "monogenes", Because listening and understanding this view, I'm leaning towards it, unless I have a reason to oppose it. Any insight?

You would be going back to a view that was less developed and more primitive. Later Christians wouldn't articulate that way. In a sense one could view Tertullian's position as affirming eternal generation/begetting in that the Reason whom the Father conversed with was brought forth in order to animate/give life to creation. This would entail the begetting occurs from the start of the ages.

@@shamounian Thank you Sam. Since William and IP in their stream said Nicaea did NOT condemn Tertullian, we have to say Tertullian is in line with Nicaea and TRINITARIAN!, and people who hold to the earlier view is OK since councils are infallible. Specifically the language of Chapter 18 of Against Hermogenes which IP did not go over.

salm 44:1-3 does not speak of the womb of His heart??? I liked it up because I was sharing with a very small bible study , close friends. I said that everything God does proceeds from the womb of his heart. That surprised me. I have never sen that anywhere in scripture. Would you please contact me? I will check here looking fr a response. Thank you so much.
