    That is a HUGE space for that size of a rig. I’ve owned the K12’s, I have the 15” EV monitors.
    You need about 10 more dual 18 subs for that space.
    Wow. Cool gig tho

    Good job man. i appreciate these type videos . I do small time production in Hawaii and these type video's help me step my game up.

    Why such small mains with the large subs? I have 4 custom dual 15”s with compression horns for midrange and separate horns for highs. I have the same low end as well.

      These are actually matched pretty well power wise and gave us plenty of headroom and coverage for this event.

    Why aren't you liking the AHM16? Thinking about one to replace an aging system processor in one of the venues I work at...

    • @arichindustries
      @arichindustries  Před rokem +1

      Don’t get be wrong, it sounds fantastic and has plenty of power and options but for my use it’s more complicated and less user friendly than what I was using before. (Driverack PA2) I’m leaning toward replacing it with a Venue360. The PA2 is perfect for 90% of my needs but sometimes I’d like to have the extra I/O

      @@arichindustries gotcha! Yeah that shouldn’t be an issue for me. I need a tonne of outputs, and the config literally never changes, so it seems a good fit. I also own a dLive myself, so the A&H ecosystem is super familiar to me

      Should work fine for you. The dsnake/slink protocol is another problem for me. I use an AR2412 for my stage inputs and the slink card in the AHM would have to be connected to a second slink card in my SQ5 requiring me to run a second Ethercon between FOH and the Stage so it makes it even more complicated for my use.

    Curious what is a ball park fee you charge for a set up like that?

    Sorry but I got to say, you're still living in the 70's! Point source is 70's tech. I personally haven't used a speaker for small to medium gigs that are larger than 3.5" in over 15 years! Point source just goes everywhere - ceiling, floor, etc.. Line Array (or column) speakers deliver sound straight out and 120 degrees wide with only about 15 degrees vertical, so there is less sound bounce. Plus each of my columns have 18 speakers to generate sound at different frequencies. A single 12" has to work too hard to try to reproduce that range of sound. Borrow or rent a pair and try it out and you will NEVER go back to point source again! Just a thought...

    are 932 better than k12?

    • @arichindustries
      @arichindustries  Před rokem +1

      Not better, different. They both have their strengths and weaknesses and when used correctly they could each be “better” in their own scenario. The k12s are a point source and have a 75x75 degree coverage. 932s have a 15 x 110 degree coverage angle. Wildly different uses.

      @@arichindustries you mean JBL 932? ..I tought RCF :)

    • @arichindustries

      Oh no, sorry I should’ve specified JBL 932.

    • @mbell5950
      @mbell5950 Před 10 měsíci

      With a good amp for sure. It’s an entirely different dispersion pattern from the horn. The k12 is maybe 300-350watts RMS, the 932’s will suck down 1600-2,000 no problem.

    Nah man. you need some seriously mean main speakers. Direct shot. Those speakers you're using are a bit too weak. I'm an old school still using community and jbl speakers.

      @@arichindustries Yup. For that same reason I invested on my own. The problem of owning is the maitenance.There's always a project. But it allows me to fullfill the events. The problem for having weak equipment is that some people notice and they spread the word and might affect some future shows. Buy some subwoofers and some direct shot rigs speakers.
