That 76MML will be your favorite rod in your lineup. I’m not a spinning guy but it’s just perfect. Had it for a season, no guide issues.

I have both the older model and new model 76mml Steez and I think you're really going to enjoy fishing with it. Love your fishing rod reviews I'm kind of a rod snob myself. Id love to hear a review from you on one of Edge fishing rods in the Silver Widow or Black Widow models. If you really want to go outside the box Okumas new X-series fishing rods also look very interesting. Thank you for all of your wonderful reviews.
I got the Steez AII in Japan and is incredible. I added a couple knob bearings to make it even better. SV3 in that color worked good for me on Large last year. Thanks for the Omnia code too...Hope to get next months also, picking up another spinning rod..

@@kayakfishingforpredators9107 Hedgehog Studio, but Tackletrap had them as well if they are still open. Steez size for knob bearings shg740zz. I added one to the top of the cap since one bearing is already on each knob.
Love ”the one” for Okashera screw head and spark shad combo, 1/16 oz hair jig, and all Raid Libero head swimmers sizes. Very capable rod more so than my Flyssa. With one rod I can do everything that my p5 baby plugging and windbuster can do. No problem using braid to fluorocarbon with FG knot. Look forward to review of it. I got the ML Steez spinning rod last winter. Used it a few times this year as it got warmer and one of the guides broke off. All I did was snap the line to unstuck a snag and the third guide just broke off. Cost $50 + to ship back to Daiwa and still have not gotten it back. Hopefully mine was just a dud, but those AGS guides does not seem worth the hassle.
I've broken AGS guides too. Daiwa usually fixes in 2 weeks.
I got the same rod last year. Haven't had any issues. Absolutely love it

I fish the 76mml to change things up more than anything. It’s a different style of fishing compared to my NRXs.
Main uses: light live bait jigs, Ned rig, spy bait, drop shotting (dead sticking if I want to sit and have a beer.. it will pin a fish without a hard hook set)
i have been fishing Johnston's 75MH since March and like it a lot. It felt soft initially but has a lot backbone when you have fish on. Nice rod for the money.
Since you have both, which sits better on a megabass rod shimano or diawa? I thought someone said, Megabass toons or builds their rod around Diawa. I have an x-bites with a met. its awesome. I do wonder if the Met sits to high, and the line dragginig on the top of the guides is a negative.... Evenytime I use it i wonder if a diawa would sit better. Thoughts?

@@PunchFishing also the perfect reel pairing for it is the certate. I’m a spinning reels snob and exists is my go to for pretty much everything besides this because it balances so nicely. Straight 6lb flouro no braid for the technique and you are in business. Just feels so right when you have the perfect rod reel combo and line for the bait. Everything just feels right

I've done really well myself, 3rods and 2 baitcasters. An 872S, an Evergreen Salty Sensation SPRS-77M-T & SPRS-76MH. Furthermore a JDM Steez A II (€350-ish) and a (2nd) Steez CT 700 XHL.
Bought the JDM steez and its out of this world.
Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the Steez AGS 7’6 MML. I have two of the previous blue version and it is my favorite spinning rod I own. I use it as my do everything bank spinning rod. I’ve used it for drop shot, shaky head, wacky rig, small swimbaits, jerkbaits, poppers, and it’s been excellent with all of those. The two things it excels at is drop shot because it has that hinged tip like the 822dsr but it can bomb out those drop shots from shore. Another technique it excels at is fishing poppers like a Rico. I know most prefer a shorter rod for twitching downwards but I just twitch sideways to accommodate. But during the fall when they are busting on baitfish further out this rod can absolutely bomb a popper and put it right on their heads. It has enough backbone to sink the hooks on a long cast and the taper keeps them pinned on those small trebles. Weirdly it is also a very accurate caster compared to my other spinning rods.
New one is great and perfect for lots but not as versatile as the old one btw. still great

Why don't we ask Daiwa why the Zillion has two engagement clicks after casting? And why do my Steez' spool sound like it's clinking after about a few years? It sounds like it is broken...like it's coming apart. Also, ask Shitmano why they've gone to a thinner profile on the Mentanium that it won't even go in your hand? And why do Shitmano reels keep locking up on some beginners? WTHell?
The steez a2 is so nice I like it better than the antares a. Only thing the antares does better is distance. But the ease of use and lightness of the a2 makes it better in my eyes

I put the old steez/‘16 Tat SV knobs onto literally all of my reels. Wish they kept those

@@davejolly582 yup, most of my reels are zillions, and almost all of them have those knobs on them. Its an easy swap with no bearing or spacer replacements needed

So I have each gear ratio of the new Steez A II. The 6.x:1 and the 7.x:1 are fantastic but the 8.x:1 has had some issues. I have tried two and both have a ticking feeling when reeling in a lure or especially when fighting a fish.

I just got an FMJ (first boujee rod) and threw a tatula elite on there.. which weighs the same as the Steez. Little disappointed by the balance. Does it feel pretty tip heavy to you?
