    The part on animal product is false. Animal product do raise TMAO hence why it's important to eat the colleagenous part of the animal which neutralizes the over production of TMAO and IGF1 and Age's (cooking)
    There's several interventional studies that show that carbohydrates has a bigger impact on aging though the overproduction of free radicals and insulin spikes. I'd strongly invite you to review the most recent literature. There's also a correlation between aging and sarcopenoa as well as inflammation.
    Andrew Huberman has covered this topic and the conclusion was that 0.8g to 1.1g of protein per pound is ideal for optimal health. The requirements increases as you age. Sugar on the other hand is the true killer.

    The reason Bryans regime costs $2M a year is due to the 30 doctors he has involved in his team.
    He measures everything, tries new things, goes to the extreme, has his own mini hospital just for himself.
    If you just wanna follow his regime, minus the Rx's he takes to boost the last % out, you can do it for less than $800/month easily.
    Good sleep and exercising does not cost much either.

    Time restricted eating means I need to get in 160 grams of protein in 4 hours, for somebody who does not eat a lot that is hard! So I changed it to 6 hours, still could not do it, then changed it to 8 hours which is like a normal day. Then you don't get the benefits of time restricted eating yet you need to get in your daily protein. So confusing, I feel bloated all day when eating so much protein but you can't build muscle without it, and without muscle they say ages you faster and makes you weaker. I am so confused.

    • @celticlass8573
      @celticlass8573 Před 11 měsíci +3

      Whomever informed you that you need to fast most of the day, each day, to get the benefits, wasn't telling you the truth. As little as 12 hours of fasting will have benefits. For most people, 14-16 hours of fasting seems to be the "sweet spot", where you don't suffer, but you still get loads of benefits. More fasting is definitely not better. And remember to not compare what we do each day, to what someone might need to do for an extended fast for medical reasons for example. Those types of fasts should never be done continually. More suffering doesn't mean more results! Look into the science of why time-restricted eating is good for you, what mechanisms occur when we're fasting, from reputable sources. Remember that anyone who wants you to do something extreme, is either trying to garner views/selling you something, or has found "success" themselves, but they may be paying a heavy price for it that they don't tell you about. There's no need to do time-restricted eating to an extreme, and you will get to know why this is the truth, once you delve into the science. ❤

      @@TazBo-wd2ig I'm not someone who can eat mass amounts of meat, so I supplement with protein powders and various soy products (tofu, tempeh etc) which is also cheaper here. So 3 square meals, but remember that you can supplement with high-quality protein powder. That's what I do anyway. So doing that, say you even just have one scoop of protein powder, which depending on what kind you use, can be approx 20-30g protein, or even partial scoops for more than one meal. So for example if you had 3 eggs for with breakfast, that's 18 grams, and if you need to have 25g per meal (depending of course on your individual needs) then you can supplement with say half a scoop of protein powder. The kind I use has 28g per scoop, so if I were to add half a scoop, that's 18+14=32g. Then maybe for lunch a decent-sized salad, and a cup of cubed chicken, which would be about 40g of protein. So that's 72g already. Then for dinner, you can just make up the rest, depending on how much you need. If you only need 75g per day, that's only 3g to get in at dinner.
      If you're not sure how to cook with soy products, there's lots of recipes online. If you like to cook (or would like to learn), lots of Asian cultures eat tofu regularly, and their recipes are quite tasty, and not at all boring. :) You can even just eat straight edamame (fresh soy beans), with a bit of salt. :)

    • @PlaceboEllie

      the protein thing is quite a "cultural moment" and while I don't believe in taking the word of nutrition studies because we are all so different, the max seems to be around 150g a day, and much lower is often fine too. So maybe it's the protein you need to reduce

    beyond meat is not healthy ... you can eat that as a fast food option, but its far from being a healthy alternative to meat... if you want a more healthy alternative you could use soy granulate, or some more natural pea protein/wheat protein granulat to mimic the taste, look and feel of ground beef... these options are far more healthy, bc beyond meat has methyldextrose in it, and until now studies are scarce on that food aditive, while the most who came to a closure suggest its not actually healthy for the gut biome

Making sure you get less saturated fat and more fiber is what really matters. That's what I think anyway. I'm sure there are some human randomized control trials to back that up😁💪

  • @cianmoriarty7345
    @cianmoriarty7345 Před 10 měsíci +1

    Meat isn't bad for you. It really does not age you. A few decades of veganism _will_ make you look and actually be feeble as fuck you'll be so light.
    As for being super light, you only tell half the story. It _does_ reduce your risk of many health crises, especially if you're active. If you avoid health crises completely yes you'll likely not die until your 90s, perhaps later.
    But over these timescales the odds actually are very far from certain even if you eat like a sparrow. Cancer is a very good possibility over these timescales, even though a low calorie diet reduces the risk you get it any given year. As are crises like serious falls.
    However the kicker is low weight once you actually _get_ a serious health crisis is a _significant_ predictor of morality _especially_ in cases of cancer and shocks to the system such as falls. And for things like cancer, an overweight cancer patient will typically do far better than a skinny one.
    Personally I feel that hanging on to as much strength and mobility, even say increasing your body fat to say something higher but less than say 15% as a man and staying active if you were super lean in young and middle age probably makes sense if you're a healthy active 60 year old wanting to have as good a quality of life as possible for as long as possible.
    Back to meat. In the 80s and 90s we _used_ to believe _red_ meat consumption was bad for you. Because high intake was correlated with poor health outcomes. However these correlations were from large studies listing habits. And in general the people that ate the most red meat usually had very many bad habits like smoking, drinking, eating junk food and generally in excess and more of them were male, and that in itself is a mortality risk factor.
    Later research usually failed to show harm.
    Over consuming meat _is_ bad for you. Just as would be an overconsumption of oranges or kale for that matter, it's just a lot easier to eat a large caloric surplus of meat than it is to eat a large caloric surplus of kale.
    To boot people might not always put all the trimmings with meat, vegetables and salads and such, but most people tend to eat them with a heaping helping of carbs. Often in a burger with fries and a small bucket of coke and god only knows what.
    And that's the problem with the studies that conclude meat is bad for you. Rarely do they account for confounding variables. Such as total caloric intake, that's far easier to blow out with meat than say beans. Because meat just has more food value in it. Micro and macro.

    • @vicksonleji529
      @vicksonleji529 Před 11 měsíci +7

      Well when it comes to health and fitness everyone has their biases. I recommend you look at other channels who have an opposing opinions and compare the data to come to your own conclusions. Review the studies that they site and understand what makes a good study.
      According to the American Dietetic Association a well planned vegan diet is appropriate for all individuals at all stages of life. Plants contain ALL the necessary amino acids; as long as you eat a varied diet and you'll get all that you need. Most studies that investigate longevity show that a plant based diet leads to longer life; there is the Okinawa study and the study of the Seven Day Adventist in California.
      With that said I don't think everyone has to become vegan. Have 1-2 servings of lean meat, avoid processed meat and red meat, and prioritize fruits and vegetables and you'll reap many of the health benefits. The main issue is that in western society we OVERCONSUME meat especially processed meat.

    • @elu9780
      @elu9780 Před 11 měsíci +7

      You miss zero amino acids when you eat plants. Veganism is far less destructive on the environment compared to eating animal products (70% of agriculture land is used for animal products while contributing only around 20-30% to overall calorie count).
