    Sick ride man... just sick! It's amazing to see you cruising at 40mph and pulling around 30amps.... Sometimes less! You can really tell the EXN is working to sustain 45mph more, by the current draw, and the massive battery sag during the run. It's so impressive! Sounds like you haven't hit the beeps yet. I'm curious to see if 80% is enough to warn fast and aggressive riders like yourself, in time to react. Please be careful finding out!
    I use a handheld flashlight in addition to my helmet light. Handheld is used for supplimentary lighting when I want to help my headlamp out a bit in really dark places, and in the city I use the strobe to warn drivers and pedestrians of my approach. It works *really* well at night.
    Prepare for overheating in the Spring/Summer daytime out there. Might want to order a second fan, and make sure that control board cover is removed. Your EXN (as is) won't last 3 miles if it's above 75F.
    This was a NASTY ride man! You really displayed what the EXN is capable of. Such confidence, both wheel and rider. I'd like to see a Sherman ride along side you on a ride like this.

    A helmet-mounted light instead of the (presumed) camera mount or in addition to it would have possibly made you a bit more visible, ‘stride; just after the door opening, your video shows you are fairly dark above waist height, and none too visible. It’s a jungle out there, bro, be seen and be safe, but great ride and demonstration of the capabilities of both man and machine. Ride on, bro, Peace, and happy Christmas to y’all from Scotland (snowy squirrelly going in the forest here today!).

I try to stay 40-45 and after 80% battery 40-43 my safety margin is set at 12% still deciding if I want to go a bit lower. Wheel still will do 40mph at 20% battery it's nuts nuts.

    @tantas11 Před 2 lety +1

    Thank you for this video, I just got my Nik AR+ and was worried about the range I've been getting and the wh/mi it uses, but seeing the stats you've been getting make me feel a lot better about it. Getting a little over 30 miles range with most of my riding around 35mph split between 2 days. day 1 was 38 degrees and day 2 was 10f. Does the wheel feel weird to you at low battery? I was riding at around 10% today (81V) and it felt almost like it had tiltback, or was throttling the when trying to go up hills. It felt like my hill climbing was drastically reduced compared to when I had a higher battery. First gotway/begode 100v wheel, came from an 18XL

    Hey bro question , I see you ride your wheel at a high angle .. is that because you can catch the peddle dipping before cut out ..if so I need to try that . I ride my wheel level

    • @UStride
      @UStride  Před 9 měsíci

      Yes, partly. It's also because I feel more comfortable pushing it hard tilted back, and thus, it gives me the opportunity to feel the pedal dip earlier. I now own the ex30, and I don't feel the need to ride with backward tilt because the speed and power are a lot more than I need.

    I find standing much more efficient than standing while riding in the winter. By sitting you are restricting much of the blood flow through out your body making your extremities EXTREMELY FRIGID!! My opinion. However if you are focused on getting from point A to B in no time, seated is best. Practically condensing your body into a bowling ball like state tunneling your way through the wind barrier. EUC LIFE IS TECHNICAL AS HELL!!!

    Dude I finally get why ds knobbies aren't for you. Its def not designed for sustained 40+mph riding. While I've done that kinda speeds, I've never done it sustained! You make it look so easy + you look so comfortable at speed. I'm far far from that. In hi spd runs, I'm def not worthy. Remember to look to Pirelli/Michelins as your tire upgrade. Those are real MC tires that'll stick like glue & turn like its on rails. The CST/CY stuff are crap so don't do it. Awesome riding brother!
