I was on the fence on getting the new Star ocean game coming out, but this video convinced me to give it a try and eventually check out the first one too. LOVED the editing on this vid, enjoying just how much you have fun with your videos and it’s editing, HERE TO 1k!!
Man I had the same experience with the sudden difficulty spike. I chose to quit there cause I wasn't feeling like grinding. That clown music got on my nerves as well lmao. I didn't really get the item creation mechanic, but it seems like it gets more useful later on. I agree with your points though, the story and the characters were really pleasant. That's why I'm really looking forward to the remake of 2 coming out today, since the combat seems to be better and it has no random encounters. Plus you can craft multiple items at once and I was already making usable stuff in the demo.
I don't know if this game is a 10/10 or 0/10 just from that conversation at the end alone.
