Do it !! Bring Andrew back let’s see the progress !!!
Had me glued to see him hit all the drivers , was hoping for the surprise gifting him the TITLEIST. He deserved it....one of the best real world testing out there Brandon...well done mate
Thank you! Appreciate the support. Andrew was great. I'm going to see what we can do for him.... 😉
Was definitely expecting that Titleist to be handed to him after 80 hits and seeing what he did with it.
Bring back Andrew, I love his attitude and his humor.
Andrew was awesome, I'm impressed with how consistently straight his ball launch is, I would love to have that swing ability. FYI, Titlelist TSR2 drivers can be had on sale in the US for $450, still more than many of us can justify, but the results it provided Andrew are amazing.
Love that you do high handicap content. You’re one of the only guys doing it and providing amazing data to the golfers like me. Thank you!
Thank you! Glad you're enjoying it. We'll definitely make more high handicap content. 🍻
I’ve been saving 50 bucks per paycheck to do a fitting next year. After watching this I can see how important it is now. Thanks Andrew for being someone who represent myself for this video.
Could you not just finance it at £50 a month 🤷🏼♂️🤯
A fitting is 100 bucks usually and most shops take it off of your purchase. If you are in Canada, golftown and Golftec are the big boys.
@@CharlotteK2008the 50 dollar per paycheck is going towards a full set up. I have a really good set right now so I’m in no rush.
This fitting appears to include some serious swing lesson!
I am in London, UK and for the past few years have downloaded and printed off a sheet for something called the Penny Challenge. It consists of on day one, which can be any day you choose to start but I usually use 1st January each year, putting 1 pence/1 penny/1p in a jar, tin or whatever and then marking it off on the printed sheet. You then put in 2p in on day two, 3p on day three (don't worry, I will not type up all 365 days) so that by day 365 you have close to £700.
The sheets are available online in other currencies like dollars too and you can even save in reverse by putting in £3.65 on the first day and work backwards so it gets easier as the days go by, or if after each day you have an odd total of coins in your pocket like say £1.28, then you can jump to the day you should be marking off that figure or mark off several days that add up to £1.28.
Here in the UK we have Poundland stores where everything (used to) cost £1 and I buy a sealed metal money box tin with a slot in the top and use a tin opener to open it when it is full. I am sure that there are similar stores in Canada and America too like Dollar Stores and then I take the coins to a coin counter machine at one of the banks I use, but any container will do, it is just that the sealed tin helps with not dipping into it for loose change.
If you have young kids, you can even get them involved by allowing them to put the coins into the slots and mark off the days on the sheet, plus if they enjoy it then you can threaten to make them miss a day or days if they play up a bit.
There are other sheets too where you save random figures like £3, £20, £12, £32 a time that you mark off in the order of your choice, that comes to around £1000 over the course of a year when all amounts are marked off.
Gotta get Andrew to 7 cap or better Brandon, that would be awesome to see !
This dude is full on a great example of the average golfer. Except he's probably more honest. 😅
Andrew was dope. Seems like a real dude, and his attitude towards the game is probably 70% of people out there. Love the game, the feel, the mental part of it, but it can get too expensive. So is all about pacing yourself and your waller. I also love the way you help him out and hype him up. You can see his confidence going up through the video.
This is a great video as it is relatable to me and probably the vast majority of weekend golfers. THANKS
Thanks for watching. 🍻
As someone who plays at the similar handicap level as Andrew, I really enjoyed this driver testing session. You should definitely get him back in the simulator, maybe an iron and/or fairway wood session 👍
Thanks for doing driver tests with a high handicapper 🙏
Welcome 👊🏻
his swing is too good to be a high handicapper lol
Awesome vid!!! Only thing is he doesn't need to spend money on a new driver. Last years model or even a 2 year old used driver will fit his budget.
You spend the money to go get fit then go buy last years driver with the same shaft. He probably would hit the Titliest TSi just as good. Or the stealth 2 or the Ping G425. I did the same thing. The dark speed was the best in my fitting. Payed for the fitting and then went and found a good condition aerojet driver and put the same shaft in it. Very little difference. Upgraded shaft and all. For me, next year, the dark speed will depreciate 200 bucks or more( its a cobra) ill upgrade to the darkspeed i was fitted for and sell the aerojet. Do your research and ya save a bundle.
There's something just so satisfying about watching your vids of fitting high-handicappers 😂... Recently got the Cobra Aerojet Max because of one of your older vids, and I've been STRIPING it down the fairway. Also got fitted for some Mizuno JPX 923 HM irons, and I can't wait for them to arrive. My dispersion on the mizuno irons was sooo tight
Sick! Good to hear. Enjoy your new sticks! Thanks for the support. 🍻
lies
I’m a Professional Clubfitter (33 years experience, including more than 15 years working on the PGA and Champions Tours), and I think that this is one of the best fitting videos that I have seen on CZcams! I would also rate the Titleist driver #1 among those tested here, with the TaylorMade at #2, just barely edging out the Ping 10K.
Thank you for the kind words 🙏🏻
Man! A tryout that many of us can relate... to see pros swinging the same club 105+mph carry 280+ yards is not a good benchmark for most golfers when testing "forgiving" drivers. Good job and good idea. I'd be curious to follow up with Andrew, fitting irons, wedges... and a review on performance by the end of the season!
Really interesting thanks, my miss was a pull hook too but I changed from a stiff to an X flex shaft (£50 on eBay) and now they just go straight or fade, it’s a revaluation play the course from the right hand side as all the trouble is down the left where I play golf 👍😂
I agree with a lot of the comments below, would be awesome to watch Andrew's journey on your channel... Great work man, this is brass tacks informative
Andrew is a legend! I love data videos over 'in my opinion' videos. Its not like the opinion is not based on years of experience by professionals. its just that it is soo much easier to appreciate when the audience gets to see it happen live...
Thanks for giving advice on lower cost option to improve his current club. Great recognition of his cost concerns.
Loved the video!! Been waffling in going for a fitting and I’m convinced
Also, summer series with Andrew sounds amazing!
Awesome to see mid-high handicap player perform your driver testing. Just goes to show how important it is to get fitted into clubs that tailor to your swing. Thanks for the video!
Great job man! Killer swing! I'm the same handicap and can hit over 300 when I hit it well but your consistency rips mine to shreds! You should be proud of the swing and I hope you found your driver!
Awesome fitting. I love seeing mid handicap fittings. That us regular weekend golfers can relate to the fitting instead of 120 mph swing speed fittings.
Great video, awesome to see Andrew hitting the different drivers.
Loved this video! And the headcover tips was awesome. Thanks guys!
Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed it!
For the record, don’t ever buy from a fitting place. You can do the fitting, get your spec, go online and get it half the price. Most fitting places charge you per component, whereas somewhere like TGW shaves $$$ off upcharge shafts. Or you can go to 2nd swing and get stuff wrapped new sold as “mint used”.
On a budget focus I agree with your point. However I'd add some caution because the problem with buying elsewhere is the the tolerances for length, loft, lie, swingweight are not as close at all. For the high handicapper it probably wouldn't matter anyway but for someone really good it might make a difference
Did the same thing when looking for a new driver and ended up with the TSR2, crazy consistency
Loved the session. Leaned a couple of things and now I'm feeling confident to schedule my next fitting appointment. Thanks!
Thank you. Glad i can help. 🍻
Awesome video great info and feedback
Great video and comparison of drivers. Definitely have Andrew or other high handicappers back for testing. I love the swing tips and info on the loft adjustment. Continued Success-Thanks
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it. Appreciate it. 🙏
Excellent that you actually used a high handicapper to test the drivers rather than professionals. I am a mid handicapper and I use a Callaway Rogue. Rather than changing the driver I will test a few shafts before I decide. Great video and thanks
Andrew, I had a fitting and got so wowed by the numbers, I said "Yes" to the big buck clubs. I have regretted it ever since. Kudos to you for sticking to your budget and saving some money for green fees. It's much more fun actually playing the game than it is looking at expensive clubs sitting in the garage.
Really enjoyed this session. 👌
Love this series! Balancing handicap and budget is superb 👌
That was very fun to watch. Very interesting stuff.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video, proving the point of fitting. Well done!
Love the channel man!! Always so entertaining and interesting.
Thank you!
New subscriber here - really pleasing to see everyday golfers go through this process which is so much more relatable than the usual pros or single digit handicappers. Keep up the good work 👍🇦🇺
Thanks for the support and the sub! 🍻
After seeing that data I respect his self control to not immediately buy either the Ping or Titleist. It wasn’t even my fitting and I’m contemplating eating canned soup for a month to afford the Ping
😂😂👏🏻
Hahaha
I already sold a Kidney
N.N Definitely become one of my new favourite channels. Keep it up 🙌🏼
Appreciate you. Thank you 🙏🏻
That was entertaining and informative to say the least
This is the best video I've seen a long time with a real world average golfer!! Got some one handicap or less telling us how forgiving a driver is!
Thank you. 🙏
This video made me a subscriber! Very well done and timely for me as I’m a 20 handicap and in market for a new driver. After years away from golf I just got fitted for irons and ended up with Paradym Ai smoke HL, but waited for a bit on a driver because the price of them is shocking, and I wanted to do some research first. Maybe a trip down to Calgary is in order …
Good job Andrew well done Thats alot of balls to hit not sure i could do that lol Brandon i totally agree with you narrowed down to three Titleist / Ping / Taylormade would be my choices well done video cheers from Vulcan Canada
Great video , I have the same driver and same issues as Andrew, now looking at getting titleist driver with stiff shaft
Great video. I would love to get a fitting like this.
Great video the difference you can see with a high handicapper is stark compared to a pro with the different options. Good driver tip too.
Shaft is key , maybe the shaft with the Titleist suited Andrew best.
Great video, lets see Andrew do a iron fitting next. Love to see videos of weekend warriors like myself :-)
I got a G425 two weeks ago and I can hit it on the toe and the ball will start a little right and draw back into the fairway. Pretty amazing to watch the club work as advertised.
Great video, I currently hit a TSR 2 as well and love the ball flight and forgiveness.
Thank you. Ya its a great driver.
Great video, very relatable
Great video for us average golfers. I wish every fitter was like you. Thanks👍
Thank you. Really appreciate it. 🙏
He was my favorite tester of all I've seen so far. Use him. Quality video.
Really enjoyed this video. I'm a similar handicap and find it much more relatable than watching a 115 mph golfer test low spin drivers that I'll get no benefit from. Subscribed.
Thanks for the sub. Glad you enjoyed it. 🍻
I couldn't have said it better. It's fun to watch those guys, but this content I can actually relate to
I'm a 19 hcp but have a 111 swing speed 😳 I just struggle so much with face control and consistent setup
Best video iv seen in a long time and honest just found your channel easy sub
Thank you! Appreciate you. 🙏
I just went with a qi10 max from a ping g425. I’m a 9 handicap and my driver distance immediately went up 25 yards on average
Crazy. Enjoy your new club. 🚀
Andrew is the man! Good on you, Mate!!!
Andrew is my spirit animal. Bring the man back!
i need this for the trip im taking to Texas and its a vacation but i will also get fitted...high handicapper and never been fitted so im pumped...good drivers to look at, got a sub out of me brotha
Thank you! Appreciate it. Enjoy your fitting and your trip. 🍻
Great fitting video for the high handicap golfer. I can relate.😂
Great work Andrew! Love the improvements in just this fitting! I’m currently looking for a new driver and am torn between the TSR2 and the QI10 Max….have played both recently during rounds and both have been pretty great at hitting fairways. Today I used the QI10 and I wanted to not like it cause I find it quite big and shiny compared to the sleek TSR2….but it hardly missed a fairway and I never got any big fades esp. into the wind (my scary miss). The TSR2 gave me a few right misses the day before….. I may have my answer…..
Another great episode
Watching him swing encouraged me to go find a new driver
very good video, Andrew has a great swing with some dedication that handicap is coming down
Thank you!.🙏 Ya he's been grinding. His cap will come down for sure. 🍻
Love this but there is one thing I believe this session is missing- please consider going 1 or 2 generations back for an affordable great driver. For instance I believe the TSI 3 from titelist is now 3 years old, probably can buy new for 200buck cheaper than brand new stuff
Great Job Andrew..!
Love this
As a follow up to this it would be awesome to see putting different shafts in his current club to see how close you could get it to his best.
My fitted Ping G430 driver and two hybrids are arriving Monday. Indeed, the Ping is very forgiving. Like many others, I really enjoyed Andrew and this video.
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it. Ping is soo forgiving. Enjoy your new clubs! 🍻
I like Andrew's swing, attitude, everything. Golf is an expensive sport and it's gotten crazy expensive. I like the idea of working on changing the shaft in his current driver over buying a new one . I liked the Titleist too but i don't think I would get much more out of it than maybe a shaft change in the Cleveland driver that I have in the bag now.
You need to look at the Adams Idea driver. As a 60 year-old 14 handicapper, I have loved this driver since I got it.
I bought new clubs this year, for the first time in over two decades. Went to a local golf shop for a fitting. Ended up getting a whole new set of Ping G430s (Irons 4-W, Driver, 3 and 5 woods). Golf season just starting where I live, but I've gone out a few times. I love these clubs. I can see why he hit the G430 10K Max so well. It's a great forgiving club.
Great choice!! Enjoy your new clubs. 🍻
Andrew was awesome man! Seriously. Was hoping to see you surprise gift him that titelist.
This guy can drive the ball well done
I am 79 so hitting 80 drives in a short session would be arduous. Recently, I changed from an M2 10.5 driver with an A flex shaft to a Stealth2 10.5 driver with a regular shaft. The driver is starting to understand my swing.
great job !! what did you go with?
Very good video. You do an awesome job. I am not sur if I would want to do what Andrew did. Great job.
Thank you appreciate it. Ya he was exhausted afterwards. Haha
Love these videos!
Thank you. 🙏
Great video! Definitely bring Andrew back, I think some of his lower numbers he was just getting tired / winded.
Nice to see a good video from an average joe. Definitely 2 thumbs up
Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed it. 🍻
Andrew! Take it from me ~ don’t drink on the course! I know… you could be awesome. Fantastic video!
Love for you to do a old Vs new irons review and talk about the differences in lofts and how it's affected the height etc. I'm playing 20 year old nikes that I love but I'm probably losing a ton of yardage with my 47° PW for example
Let’s go Andrew!! Great job on just seeing the improvement with a couple little tweaks and some modern tech. Lightyears of improvement, his buddies won’t be helping him look for his ball much longer.
Andrew with the Dad jokes! Bring him back and make it a series. I want to see how much he can shave off of his handicap.
If I were Andrew and concerned about price point as much as he is... I would say thanks for the informative session, give Brandon a nice tip for his effort then walk out of there and go straight to Costco to get the new Kirkland driver. Aren't they getting sued by Titleist right now b/c their driver is so much like the TSR? Maybe you could have let him hit the new Tour Edge driver as a cheaper option if you guys sell that one. Great video again as always. Thank you for the content!
Very nice session
A great fitting Nice that you have a higher handicapper on the fitting
Very interesting results. Makes me want to run out and get the new Titelist.
I would have liked to seen his driver in a different shaft, but really enjoyed the whole experience and Andrew was awesome.
the data driven videos are awesome as a beginner golfer
So this is the kind of testing that needs to be done for the masses. The guys testing clubs now are less the 5 handicap..
I would love to see him comeback and try some 2022 to 2023 discounted drivers, which should be well within hi budget!
Excellent video
I'm in on the new series of getting Andrew from an 18 to a 7! Feel like I could get myself from a 15-16 down to sub-10 just by watching!
This was the best review I've seen. 😊
Thank you! Appreciate it. 🙏
Great fitting, Andrew must be some happy. Should knock at least 10 off his hdcp. I would love to see Andrew come back! Thanks
for the awesome video.
Thank you. Appreciate it. Will definitely try to get him back on.
I have been considering a 50g stiff shaft for my driver over my 60g stiff. Curious if a lighter shift shaft would help me with my right miss which is usually a push/push slice. Hearing that you wanted to put him in lower weight cuz he’s in the lower end of stiff shaft swing speed is eye opening.. I swing roughly around 96-102mph. More in the high 90s.
That was a real cool testing session ! Andrew is a relaxed , honest guy , I think with him choosing one of the three he excelled at , he could possibly bring his cap down to a single digit within a year ( depending on his iron and putter play ) I think this kind of testing really shows us amateur players , how a shaft or loft adjustment can make big differences ! Also we get to see the latest and greatest drivers from an amateurs perspective ! Thank you taught me alot !
It's an excellent video! Andrew has a good swing and wore himself out on that test. Impressive results on how different drivers performed. Titleist is a fantastic driver, and the tech is a year older than all the other brands - look out for their 10K forgiveness one coming out this fall 😮
Thank you! He really does. Ya I'm curious what Titleist has up its sleeve. 🍻
