I do agree that Remakes shouldn't be nominated for GOTY. But, RE4 being nominated and not Dead Space? Come on. That plus the sales of Dead Space is not great, the DS franchise might be discontinue again.
Hey...The reason you dont want go back and play Starfield again....is because you didnt have fun? You didnt enjoy the gameplay loop? Or the game is lacking in replayable content? Trick question...Its all the above. Starfield was a boring game if it even came out in 2020, whick it looks and plays like it did. "Its Skyrim in Space." Skyrim is an old ass game. With old outdated gameplay mechanics and graphics. But the main reason....BUGS? Im not sure about you...but i could not even finish the game due to crashing my xbox everytime I tried to do the final mission. It quit working on my brand new top PC around halfway through...then I had to switch to console. Where it crashed 2-3 times each 8 hour game seesion. Then not even letting me complete the game. Take your pick........ I think the awards should be in March. Also....do you know how these games are selected? Go to the Game awards website and it explains how they pick the nominees. Its done by a 120 person/company media outlets panel. They all vote for the top 5 games out of every game that came out. They even get free game codes if they havent bplayed a particular game..... whoever comes out in the top 5 gets put on game of the year list. We need to find out whos on that 120 list. lol...then cuss at them!! hahaha
Hey, thanks for the comment bro! Yeah, I knew TGA had their voting committee similar to the Oscars haha As for Starfield- I think you’re right. Thankfully, I only had one hard crash on my Xbox, but everything else you said I think is accurate. I think the novelty and idea of a new Bethesda universe kept me motivated to play, but after that wore off I just kinda lost interest. Hopefully ES6 is a return to form for Bethesda and they put out a true GOTY contender!
Spider Man 2 is yet another boring open world just for Marvel fans. Hogwarts Legacy is just commercial nonsense, boring like nothing else. Starfield - ok, this might be most boring AAA of the year. I’m big Bethesda fan, but I wasn’t able to play Starfield more than 15 hours. Diablo IV - ok, ok, THIS is the most boring AAA game of the year. 99.4% gamers left after 2 months. Disaster. Jedi Fallen Order 2 - fast food from video games. Another 100% commercial product without any sign of depth. Lies of P - good. Especially as 1st attempt. But not even as good as Dark Souls 1. My GotY list: Baldur’s Gate 3 - nothing new, actually, but a master work. Alan Wake 2 (my personal goty) - piece of art. So many layers, such good visuals, narrative, sound and music. Packed with scenes you will not find in any other game. Great mind games. Mario Wonder - this is a festival of joy and creativity. Nintendo in its best. Tears of the Kingdom - yes, it is not as fresh as BotW was. But it slams the game industry again with its creativity and new mechanics. Hi-Fi Rush - this game is so good. It is clever, stylish, drives with energy. It just a type of games that we miss so much in recent years. Best remakes of the year: Dead Space Resident Evil 4 Metroid Prime
@@partypanda17 It is a solid game but personally I keep having a feeling of incomplete fulfillment playing it. Its greatly missing the magic of exploration. I want to explore cool planets, find unique npcs and more. Before the game came out I envisioned it as something like finding a planet that looks like Avatar and another one that looks like planets from star wars and all that. Starfield failed to give me that magic of exploration, as good as the game may be.
Lies of P criminally underrated. Think it just came out to late and not enough hype around it
